I've been thinking of getting this done for a while but I never have the guts (not that it's too far out there). So what I was thinking of was getting it black on top with blonde on bottom. I've seen a lot of people with blonde on top and black on the bottom but blonde really isn't becoming to me haha.

This is me with black hair. No one liked it... I did though haha. If I were to do black again, I would do a warmer shade. This was a midnight hue.

I think you look great either way. You definitely have two totally different looks and that's cool

It's cool to know you're not afraid to be different and experiment a little.

I can honestly say though that I've seen the blonde underneath and dark on top and I do not like it at all. I do however like the blonde on top and dark underneath but that's about it. You look good with all over colors. Maybe you could try some highlights?

The look you want is pretty popular where I live however it's usually darker skinned girls wearing it. Based on the pics you posted: I say "Go for it, girl!"

I agree with Johnnie, I'm not a huge fan of the blonde underneath but I do like the blonde on top. I really do like how you look with dark hair though! I'd maybe just add some really thick blonde highlights on top so it won't be as dramatic as dying a lot of your hair blonde or you could do blonde highlights randomly kind of underneath instead of just at the top of your head.

I agree, alot of dark skinned girls do the dark on top thing. I did too, but now I don't like it. All about the hilights now.

i think the half and half look is sort of going out of fashion really. as the other girls say, highlights are the way to go!

your hair is amazing by the way. do you use any products to keep your curls like that? they look really smooth.

Thanks for the feedback! I like the idea of the highlights...

fingers: I don't do a thing. that was just a good hair day for some reason! mostly my hair is so curly and frizzy and tangled that I end up straightening it all the time.

I think you look nice with dark hair, but I would go with a dark chocolate brown for a bit of warmth, it would look better with your skintone. And sure, why not go for some blonde too?

Yeah I agree, I'm not really into the half-half look. I like the highlighted looks Chelsey posted though, and I think the Kelly Clarkson one would look great on you!
