I feel kind of awkward saying this but the samples from sumbody I do not like at all. I mean I should appreciate what they send me but it looks super unprofessional. It's tiny ziplock bags with blush, eye shadow, a scrub and a mask. All powder, so i guess you have to mix the scrub and mask with water. On the ziplock bags is written with permanent marker what's inside. I mean I'm all for natural and handmade and stuff but I need some appeal to the look of a product too. Really, these ziplock bags I don't feel like even I want to try...it looks so unappealing! Plus the ziplock bag with the blush popped already in the envelope. And how am I supposed to use eyeshadow out of a ziplock bag? I feel so mean cause after all I got it for free...

Wow, good thing you went to check! I guess it was a good sample day then :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Who did you have send samples by FedEx? I've only had one sample package come that way, from First Aid Beauty. It was a giant envelope with 4 tiny foils in it haha.
Haha! A tiny envelope full of samples is more fun, right? ;-)

Nice samples & very helpful list.

Holy crap. I just got an email back from Paula's Choice & it looks like they're sending at least 7 products for me to try that are geared toward my exact skin type. I'd definitely recommend emailing them for samples!

Side note: My fiance & I are moving again this month, so I've been giving out my parents' address for samples... I guess I should probably warn them, haha

Yes they are very generous and I'm very impressed by her products. I will order full sizes from her for sure. I love also that they don't do test on animals.

I had an idea-- I was thinking of maybe starting another thread to review the samples we get--I don't really feel like writing up real reviews of all these products but it might be nice to share our opinions since a lot of us are trying the same products, but this thread already has a lot going on without adding a lot of that. What do you all think, would you all be interested in that?
Yes sure! I'm in! :)

My mailbox was stuffed today! Here's what I got:

A Garnier moisturizer sample & coupon from the Target sample spot, Uberliss, Bioelements, First Aid Beauty, Somme Institute, and Apivita.
The uberliss was great on my hair!

I got really nice samples from them - tub of scrub, soap, moisturizer, face scrub  and face mask. The only thing that was in a baggie is the face mask. They all have printed info - no sharpie or anything. I did pay $8 for shipping so that could be why.

I just wanted to thank everyone in this thread!!!  You all have opened my eyes to a whole new world.  I just feel bad for my mail carrier come next week or the week after.  I started an excel grid to keep track of who I requested from and what they said....is that too bad?
That's great that you are so organized! Don't feel bad for your mail carrier. You are helping them keep their jobs, which I am sure they would thank you for. We need to keep the post office in business!!!

I have 2 different mail carriers one day this week my brother went out to get the mail and she said to him "hey there are no packages for you today whats up with that."   then yesterday when the other one was dropping off a package she said "thank you for keeping us in business."   i thought it was funny :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

All you have to do is go through all these posts (yes, there are a lot!!) and find what companies we have emailed. You will see which ones we have gotten good and bad responses back from. I would email them all though (even if they have told people no) because it is so random, and a lot of the times you might get lucky. And a lot of these companies send the same samples out to everyone, so that is nice. You just email them asking to try some of their products and wait to hear back from them. You can read through all these posts, there is some helpful info. Like some of the ladies on here have gotten a no from glo-proffesional, but discovered that if they email them back saying that any place to try out their products in store was too far, they then got a yes from them. Good luck!!

Thank you so much for your reply! I got some reading to do from these posts lol

What I have gotten in the last couple of days.

Uberliss (they wrote me almost a month ago saying that they ran out of samples. They just showed up today! Nice to know that they kept me in mind. That is some good customer service. The rest are from Marc Jacobs (perfume) Apivita, Bilelements and Erbaviva (they gave me two more but my little one is already using them!)

These are from The Laundress, Goldfaden MD and Jerlique again! I think they made a mistake because this is my second sample package from them with slightly different stuff. Not complaining..... ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
