Jouer's individual packets hold about the same amount of product as they seemed to have sent anyways. At least you can reuse the containers?

Ok, after emailing a lot of the companies on this thread I am starting to receive samples I forgot about even requesting! LOL No complaints.

 but I just went to TJ Maxx and got a DDF protective eye cream for $12.99 (reg cost approx $50) and DDF Sensitive Skin Cleansing gel for $9.99 (reg approx $25)!!!! SO EXCITED! I really loved the brightening cleanser in the August (I think) Birchbox, so hopefully these will be as good.

TJ Maxx also had a decent selection of Essie nail polishes for $2.99. I freakin' love that store!

How did you receive real techniques brushes??

 
I was experiencing shedding with one of my brushes. So I emailed them and told them about it. They replied back and said they would replace it and threw in the kabuki as a gift :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

A little goes a long way with it, so that should be enough to try it.  I have to say though, I don't like the MMT as much as the LMT.  I don't feel that it moisturizes, or covers as well.  I ended up going with WEI to go.

I actually ended up being able to use it more than I thought I would, so I take back my whining :) And, yes, I did think about being able to reuse the containers for foil packets and such, so I guess I can consider that a bonus as well. Also, I think I ended up liking the MMT more than the LMT, it seems to have more coverage. Although, the lighter color was a little too yellow, and the other was a little too dark. maybe I can mix them together for a perfect fit? I haven't tried the WEI to go, but I really want to. I suppose I should try and email them and see if they would let me try it before I buy it, but I feel like all the companies are getting hit up for their samples right now... Never hurts to try I suppose!

Why do you feel like the companies are being asked right now?  Is there a certain time of year companies are asked more?

I don't think there's a certain time of year or anything, but the Jouer MMT was in last month's birchbox. It seems likely that they'll be overwhelmed when they've recently been in a subscription. Having said that, you also have to be on the ball with this thread as well, as we have a tendency to overwhelm them too :x

i got freebies from them when they visited a sephora in times square. since i'm a vib, i got to sit in on one of their nail art courses and scored a goodie bag with free nail art tools, a sephora beauty bag, a basecoat, nail polish and topcoat. being a vib definitely has it perks, especially if you live in nyc :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

VMV Hypoallergenic's is the Greatest!  They sent me 24 samples and 12 for my boyfriend.  (Everything from facial cleanser, lotions, oils, blush ,powder, massage oil, lip gloss ect.  Took a little while to fill out the questioner but it was so worth it.  I will post a pic of the samples a little later.  

 
I finally sat down and got pictures of my latest sample haul from companies that have sent me samples lately. I have heard from some other companies that I completely forgot that I sent sample requests. I'll post when I receive the samples.

Nice samples ladies!

I received samples from Jouer cosmetics & Miss Jessie's. I'm sure there are others that I can't remember right now lol.

BTW, those that mentioned that they received unexpected magazine subscriptions it may be from ELF cosmetics! I received so many diff types of magazines last Summer and tried to cancel and wasn't able to (so now I have a huge stack of untouched magazines). Earlier this year I placed another order on ELF during one of their sales and uh-oh, new magazine subscription was activated. Supposedly there is a check box I didn't see. Glad I stopped it right in its tracks. I never read magazines! Free or not, no thanks! If anyone is having that issue it's from a site called Value Mags.
