And there's about 40 or 50 companies I've tried that hasn't gotten a response yet. Does anybody do anything specific for those? Do you email again later or just forget them? I've got a word document I keep track of everything in, and I put a date next to the name of the company so I know when I emailed them, and I try again in a few weeks/months if I get no response. I'm just wondering if I'm wasting my time and theirs if they don't send me a yes/no back.

Got a yes from Bare Minerals and Paula's choice today, No from Sephora. I know a lot of these companies are a stretch but i thought hey. why not! I emailed a lot, and they aren't open on weekends most of the time, so i expect a flood in my inbox tomorrow. 

I have to say I was beyond Impressed with Jane Iredale cosemtics. I have an actual package i paid shipping on coming as well, and I got a tracking number for that and the JI samples the same day (Wahhh tracking for samples???) and my samples are getting here before my package. I don't know weather to say good on Jane or bad on the supplier /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

The companies that I can remember off the top of my head that really impressed me with the generosity were zotos, danyel, aneley, clarins, absolutely natural, and star nails.

I recently started emailing companies asking for samples or sometimes just complimenting them on a certain product. I emailed John Frieda saying how much I liked their precision foam hair dye in 9N (a blonde shade) and they sent me a letter back saying thank you, and to have these as a token of their appreciation. I didn't even mention samples and they sent these 2 which are the same size as my Soap & Glory travel sized items I bought!

I have a standard template that I use, and depending what the product is I change around a few things.

I usually introduce myself, tell them where I heard about the product/good reviews/suggestions from a friend etc. Explain my skin concerns, skin type, etc. Then I ask if they could mail me a sample because I always like to try before I invest my money in a product. Thank them for their etc. And always include my addy at the bottom.

The Embryolisse was really generous! I just emailed asking to try the moisturizer that is on all the top french pharma cult blogs, and I wanted to try it before i shell out the money and order it online and they sent a whole goodie bag with a note so I can't wait to try it out!!!

I got a BUNCH from Embryolisse too today! Every company I got from today sent so much! I got from BioElements (30 foils), Hempz (4 bodywash/moisturizer sets, and 6 moisturizers with my scent preference, Organic Fiji sent 6 nice sized soap samples with my preferences AND apologized for being slow to send me FREE stuff. WAH!!?? La Prairie send two of each sample for the results i got on their skin questionnaire. Very nice...Again, I have a nice spreadsheet made in Google Docs if anyone wants to see let me know, I still cant figure out how to attach a file here.
