I was away for the long holiday weekend and came back to some goodies!!

Derm Organic- the skincare and haircare boxes.

Hempz- a bunch of foils in various scents.

Dr hauschka- 2 travel size tubes of cleanser and moisturizer. I wanted the rose day cream but such is life. I hate trying the testers at CVS but maybe I will try.

Dermalogica- 3 small foils of really random stuff

Tocca- few vials of their scents.

Jane Iredale- 2 pots of mineral powders

Fresh- sent a decent size jar of the honey mask I wanted to try.

Hasn't even been a week so I am excited to see what else will come!

So far, tried the tocca Cleopatra, LOVE IT and the Dr. Hauschka cleaner smells kind of medicinal but seems good.

Have you ladies emailed lush or went into the store? Im 50/50 on the store because the smell kind of gives me a headache but I want to try some of the bathbombs so I was wondering if I should ask at the mall tomorrow!

They won't give you samples of bath bombs, or face masks. Only of lotions or body washes or cleansers. It's pretty great, I love their stuff.

I think it depends on the location. My Lush will give out pretty much anything as a sample (well, not bath bombs, of course).

The lush store near me doesn't give out samples.  They will let you try stuff in the store.  They are very aggressive sales people.  I  have only been in a store once though.  I usually buy online.  I have loved everything I get.  I think they are very expensive .

All Lush people are quite aggressive unless you just say "I'm just looking thanks." and whatever.

Some days I have time enough for their selling.

I went in the other day, the women was very nice but not really my style, she was explaining to me that I should use a bath bomb, some other bath bubbles and then a third bath item and I said Oh that seems a lot for just a bubble bath and she said NOOOO its all about the experience, I personally think less is more so I listened and said ohhkay thanks and looked around and just got one bath bomb to try! LOL

I don't know about your sephoras, but they are also really weird about samples and customer service in general. I was there at like 10 am on a wednesday and had to stalk down a cast member to help me find something and I just wanted one small sample.

But I did get a nice box from Paula's Choice so I'm excited to try the exfoliator and see if it helps with my clogged pores.

This thread is very addicting and it's so much fun finding new products!!! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Also, has anyone contacted Yu-be with success? I can't see to get their contact form to work, and have tried googling but nothing comes up!

The Sephora in the mall near me does not give out samples either when you buy something or if you want to try something.  That is their policy.   I have gone in and tried to talk to them too about things I wanted and the employees  are always in one corner of the store  talking and horsing around. It is very hard to get anyones attention .   This is the only Sephora in my area so I just shop with them online  I get samples that way.

I don't know where you live but it must be a crap area because almost every lush and Sephora store gives out up to 3 samples. I'd write a complaint to the company about it.

I'd write a complaint in about the Sephora there.

How is everyone doing?
I don't know about anyone else, but I have been doing great! Thanks for asking. I am starting to get samples that are not just the little foil packets, it is so much fun. Although I am running out of companies to contact haha. Anyone have any new companies? I am not sure how anyone will feel about this... you can go ahead and judge... but I have developed an interest in dumpster diving at beauty stores like sally's, ulta, sephora, ect.. In some states it is illegal, just look it up. Good thing it is legal where I am! It is absolutely crazy how much stuff these stores thouw away, cracked full size products or even products perfectly fine and not even opened that just goes to waste.. It is insane.

It's also something I'd be interested in, I feel it'd be weird and fun but I'm only 17 and I don't want to be arrested. Not sure if it's illegal in Maine. If you have any new brands, please list them~ :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I'm getting ready to do a massive sample haul. It's been a while since I contacted companies, and I'm getting the itch to do it again, lol. Hope you are doing well, and still receive lots of stuff.
Thank you~ :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> If you get any new companies please share with us, I've been doing my best to keep it updated here and seeing how others are doing in there endeavors as well!

I believe someone here said they were going to post a list later on.

This sounds like a fantastic idea!!!

Do you know where /how to find out if its legal in your area? I'm in NY and i know people dumpster dive for food/ newspapers for coupons etc, I have always been interested but never really did it!!

I'd be interested in finding out more info and trying this as well!!

Thanks for the great idea :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

How is everyone else?

I think it is legal in NY. In the USA once you throw something away its free game, putting it in the trash shows you don't want it anymore. Unless there is anything on the dumpster that says no dumpster diving in it, a lock, or a fence around the dumpster you are good to go. I have heard it is fantastic in citys! Got to stores like Ulta and Sally's they have awesome stuff...
