I'm trying to find legit cruelty-free companies to e-mail and ask for samples. I think I need to request an updated pocket guide from Leaping Bunny. Does anyone have recommendations? I would prefer not to buy from companies owned by a parent company that is not cruelty-free.

I was in my Lord & Taylor today, and stopped at the Clarins counter to ask for a foundation sample I could try out for a couple days.  The Clarins and Laura Mercier counters are combined in this store.  Anyway, the women went to get my sample and came back with a bag of goodies from both Clarins and Laura Mercier for me to try.  Apparently Laura Mercier had some leftovers from one of their gift with purchase promotions that included big deluxe sizes of the tinted moisturizer, primer, a lip gloss, and scrub in a cosmetics case, so she included that in my goodie bag along with a ton of Clarins samples for me to try, and my foundation sample.  All I was expecting was the Clarins foundation sample, so I felt like I hit the jackpot!

I should have asked the sales woman if she gets a commission, but I didn't.  I'm definitely going to ask for her when I go back to purchase the foundation.

I requested samples from Aubrey Organics a while back, and I received quite a few from them.  The first time they sent me a lot of skin care and bath products.  They were very generous, so I sent an email thanking them and told them how much I enjoyed the samples and that I was going to purchase a few of the products as well some of their hair care products.  About a week later, I received a 2nd package in the mail with a generous supply of hair care samples to try.  They are a fairly basic brand, but the products are all good quality.  It was a while ago, but I think it was an online form on their website.

I have spent thousands of dollars at that counter as a result of her assistance and guidance. I've discovered many favorites for myself and my mother. I am a loyal lifetime customer of Clarins as a result of her help. It's just amazing when you find someone who cares about the product they represent and the people who can benefit. I sent a message to volcanic earth the other day and I was very nice. I told them we owned a landscape company so I was always in the sun and its very hard on my hands and feet. Low and behold, I get a message full of insults. First he says that he thought I worked barefoot and maybe should.invest in good shoes. The whole msg was typos and bad spelling. He goes on to insinuate that I don't bathe regularly and maybe that's part of my problem. I was completely dumbfounded. He finishes the email off my telling me if I follow all the steps I can have beautiful feet like him lol He was the export manager there. I replied, "Wow, this is the nicest customer service I've ever witnessed . Maybe you should export that d*** out of your butt before responding to any more emails. Haha this guy blatantly insulted.me for 3 paragraphs. I should have resisted the urge, but we sure got a kick out of it here. I guess he saw my location as Ky and assumed I was just poor white trash. He could have not responded or.said no.

On a positive note, vbeaute sent me 5 little tubes of different serums and creams. I plan on purchasing the eye serum. It worked great. Also dermorganics makes a wonderful hand lotion that I will also be ordering. Their samples I would classify as super deluxe:)

Paulas choice has a large list of companies on their site that do not test on animals. I am not sure if that extends to sister companies they may be affiliated with, but you could check it out. I hope this helps.

That's so funny!  I will never purchase a product from that company now.  What a jerk!

I recently purchased samples from Lily Farm Fresh Skin Care.  They have sample packs for 28.00, which I think is a lot for samples, however they sell the samples individually too for around 4.00.  I purchased a couple of individual samples and they were good sized deluxe samples and they included a couple of packets for free.  I thought the products were very nice.

Oh my god! What a horrible person! I'm glad you responded and called him on it. You should actually contact someone higher up and you'll probably end up with tons of free stuff. Hahaha. Oh man, that guy probably already lost his job.

Sadly, his email was the only one listed. After I sent.my reply back. He called me a bottom, dwelling, scum sucking, low life grub . So obviously I struck a nerve. Haha. Then he wrote END OF TRANSMISSION :........ as if we were communicating by Morse code or telegram .

You can go to moodysisters skincare, I've heard they have great products, and when you sign up for their newsletter they send a coupon code for a free once ounce sample. The code is trymefirst. I also just tried the code free ship and it worked also. When it makes your balance zero you can skip all the credit card info and it goes through. I've already received my order conformation.

Thank you!  I just did this as well and I'm super excited :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

My samples from Mario Badescu arrived today and I'm very pleased with the size and amount of the samples.  Just by smell, my favorite thing is the Strawberry Facial Scrub.  I'm glad I saw here that they were giving away samples, because I had been somewhat curious about the line, but prefer to test out skincare items before purchasing.

Someone asked how people get samples.  I do most of my beauty shopping online now, but I used to get a decent amount of samples in stores, usually without spending any money.  I think the key is to not just walk up to a counter and ask for samples, but to be somewhat specific about what you're looking for.  I can't be sure, but I think that you're more likely to get samples if you come across as a legitimate customer, rather than just someone who wants random stuff for free.

Is there a code for free shipping?

I just guessed and typed freeship and it worked. Gotta do it today though, the promotion ends. Credit card info came up, but I left it blank and everything submitted
