they are sending me something similar, but no - they do not ask you for shipping.

just register at their site and then take their skin care quiz.  In a couple of days, they will email you with their recommendations and in the email, they will ask you if you would like those samples.   I did that and I am getting mine on the way!

if you go to the brazen website, you can request 2 samples of their makeup line.  You need to mail it to them with a self addressed stamped envelope!

Lots of people ask how to ask for samples. I personally never mention birchbox. I like to make up funny stories that will make the customer service people laugh. Like I'll make up a story about how my friend already has their products but won't let let me try them and how she's such a b***h blah blah blah. If they have samples they'll share them. If they don't they won't.

I also tell them about my skin concerns and even if they don't offer samples, they usually recommend products based on my problems. I also like to send them handwritten thank you notes if they do send me samples as well as a follow up email.

Same here, I found some really great skin care products from samples from Acure. Now I concentrating on make up samples, but they are hard to come by through the mail.

Hi Ladies! I'm new to this site and just wanted to say thanks so much for the all the websites. I'm starting tonight to ask for samples! Awhile back I received free samples from Mario Badescu and I loved his products so I went and bought 3 products from him. I'm big into customer service and If I feel that the company was rude when i email them I won't buy from them.

I recently emailed some companies and I got a YES from Jane Iredale and a polite NO from 100% Pure. <--- they made some recommendations and included some swatch pictures though. And DermOrganics was a YES too.

I'm super excited about the two yeses that I got!!!! and I can't wait to get my samples. I'm pretty sure that I'm going to make a purchase from JI no matter what just becuase they replied so quickly and were so nice.
