Weird dandruff???

So i have no idea what is going on with my scalp. I have tried head and shoulders, selsun blue, and right now am currently using a salon shampoo....a paul mitchell one with tea tree oil.

My problem....chronic dandruff/dry scalp/something funky. Its basically at the front of the hairline, and down and around my part, as well as the back of the head, nothing around the ears. The second problem is, its not normal dandruff. Its these little white "tubey" things around individual hair shafts, near the base of the scalp. They do not flake off, but rather need to be gently slid down, almost like nits from head lice. HOWEVER they are not eggs, as i have had my mother check my head numerous times.

My questions are....what the heck is this stuff, and how can i get rid of it? Natural or purchasing things, either or.

Why not have a quick visit with your family doctor?

You could have a parasit or fungus that is going to require antibiotics.

Yeah I cant tell what it is. You really should go see a doctor if it wont go away.

It could be lots of things... product residue, infection, allergic reaction, extreme overdrying. Have you tried not using any products or hairstyling for a few days? Sometimes you can unknowingly be agitating your skin without realizing it. I would suggest a trip to the doc as well if it has been going on for awhile.

I do not use any products in my hair except shampoo. i think i might have to go to the doctor.
