I can't stand drinking water, I kick myself all the time for it though, I know I' really going to regret it one day

I love good quality water. Fiji is the best! But as much as I love water I can't deal with the insane volume of bathroom trips. I'm too lazy! LOL

Water is key! Not just to skin, but daily health in general. Your skin needs it, your muscle needs it...hey, most of your body IS it!

You mentioned your Nars dillema while in Sephora, and being the nars nut that I am i'm curious if you've tried their Aque gel hydrator, especially since your concern is water? http://www.narscosmetics.com/acb/sto...ategory_5.aspx

It's not cheap, but....

Thanks for the post, Basia. For me, it helps to hear a real person's "testimonial" more than the general articles we see all the time. As some have said, we all know we should be drinking more water, but it's hard to do. After reading your post, I'm going to try & make more of an effort!

I'm glad to bring this to your attention guys....today I skipped my usual 2 litres and I swear my eyes feel dry...I know that sounds crazy - but, now that my body is getting more used to it (thise bathroom trips diminish btw...and those are toxins going down the loo....so its beneficial!) it's asking for its usual dose.

Apparently theres a brand called CONTREX or something...for sale here in the UK, it's supposed to have additional minerals that aid with weight loss....anyone seen the article??

The other thing that makes a difference is eating less salt - that makes ME retain water...and I just feel bigger! I love salt...so thats hard for me.

And as for alcohol - thats the killer...I love the odd wine etc...but with this water thing I make sure I drink 2 glasses water to one glass wine - result? NO hangover and no dehydration......

How many ounces in 2 liters of water??? I have been having terrible headaches, and I feel like I might be getting a bladder infection. I was such a good water drinker, lol, then about a month ago, I just quit. I can tell a difference. i think I got tired of it. I wander if you could add crystal light to it, or is that stuff just chemicals???

Drinking LOADS of water is great for bladder infections wvpumpkin.....so my mother always used to say, I remember having to do that at times! It helps to move the infection on.

I think I remember now why I quit drinking the water, it seemed I stayed more bloated, wonder why??? It is supposed to help you get rid of water, but I do remember feeling squishy and bloated. You think I was drinking too much maybe. Usually about 64 -70 ounces per day.

You feel bloated to start with...I did....I could actually FEEL that water in my stomach
yuck.gif
but it passes. It took about a week to acclimatise - it's not an instant fix...it takes time for a parched system to come to terms with it's new found 'watering'....imagine what happens to plants when they have lack of watering...how they droop and look sorry for themselves...the moment you water them, they perk up...

you just inspired me..i am going to try this..2 liters everyday! tell you girls how it goes later..

Go for it Kam.....you have nothing to lose. It's just one of those big bottles a day....aim for 1/2 bottle drunk by about 2pm and you'll soon see the difference...once the visits to the bathroom get under control

And it went on the entire 6 weeks of our water challenge back in January-February...huh. Maybe I should have stuck with it even longer after the challenge and was more disciplined....I really need to get back on more water.

I drink a LOT of water myself- but im also always thirsty and I love water it's my favorite drink! But you can get a lot of your water intake through fruits and vegetables and many foods. Juice counts (soda, coffee and alcohol do not). This article shows that perhaps the drinking water to that extreme may be a myth:

http://www.scienceagogo.com/news/200...runc_sys.shtml

The moral of the story is that everyone should listen to their body. If you feel bloated or feel as if you are overdoing it- drink less. If you feel a lot better with increasing your intake - you are on track.

Interesting article...however I disagree that it's a myth....and as for 'water intoxication'....that's absurd.

Everyone should as you say Geebers do what they feel comfortable with...we should always listen to our bodies - thats for sure.

I def know that coffee, soda and alcohol really dehydrate the body - so always need to be followed up with a top up of pure water.....you know that dehydtrated 'look' some heavy drinkers have?

Not absurd, it happened to my sister. It is called polydipsia, when you drink too much water. She passed out and had seizures from it. She ended up in the hospital twice. I dont remember however how much she was drinking. I am sure that is was more than 64 ounces per day thought. Her potassium, salt etc levels came all out of whack. It was terrible.

i don't know if its a miracle cure, but its definetly good for your whole body

Alcohol is my rare-pimple vanishing miracle tho!

We are only talking 2 litres here.....! That's JUST one bottle a day......

I am sure theres no problem with that!

I'm still alive.......!
