OKay so when spring/summer comes along i want to go lighter again

here in this thread was from this year and then i dyed it dark for the winter.

https://forum.makeuptalk.com/f13...ide-63706.html

but i did that dark color months ago so it does not look like that anymore.

so here is what my hair currently looks like now as you can see my hair looks lighter and my bangs are longer

So i wanted to do blonde higlights lots of them to make it look like my hair is blonde. my hair dresser sugessted i did highlights first cause if i color my hair blonde all at once there is gonna be alot of damage so i can do highlights them add more highlights after. and the cut i just wanted to trim my hair i do have some layers in there but i dont want to cut my hair alot i want it to grow longerrrrr

and for my bangs i dont know what to do again, should i keep it short or what?

thanks for looking

I don't know if what I'm going to say will help you with going blond, but I will say this: 1) I don't know that I've ever seen a person (who is not a celebrity) pull off bangs the way you do. They frame your eyes just beautifully, and really bring them OUT (can we say ZING!), and really complement the whole shape of your face. 2) That darker shade you had going with the bangs in that pic, really seemed to bring forth the color of your eyes & they look so beautiful. I really noticed them in that pic.

Ok, all of that said, yes, I agree with the slower transformation into lighter blond like your hairdresser said.

i would say listen to your stylist.

Highlights if you get a heavy amount of them will significantly lighten your hair and are only one pocess,

where as if you decided to dye your hair all blonde it would be at least 2 processes that are much more damaging (the first one would be either a stripper or bleach and the second one would be a dye at a high volume to continue the lightneng proccess)

thanks

yea i think i would def get highlights done then after a month or so add some more. instead of doing it all at once damaging my hair.

I agree; highlights are a good way to go because they'll be less damaging to your hair and you'll be able to play around until you get the shade you want. Good luck!

I like the longer side swept bangs. I agree that you should highlight first. Even highlighting will cause damage. My hair was in pristine condition before I highlighted. Now those are the areas that are the driest with the most breakage so slower would be a little healthier. I have to add that I really like the dark color though.

I like your hair color in the photo. It looks really good on you!.

But good luck with the highlighting process.
