What can I do, put, spray on or to my hair & brushes to get rid of this static?!?! I've never had it so bad in my life and all the sudden I look like a walking electricity globe. I don't normally dry my on wash day hair since I either use a flat or curling iron - in theory I figure I'm saving myself a little damage. Biosilk isnt' helping, I'm over the static guard and let's not even talk about the dryer sheets....help please

Have you tried using just a tiny dab of biosilk on your DRY hair? I know I use biosilk on my wet hair only, but if its staticy, the smallest amount rubbed on my dry hair does the trick.

That seemed to work today but wouldn't ya know it - it's hot down here today. I suppose it's a good that we don't get that much cold weather in Houston LOL

I have used like Biolage conditioning balm rub some into your hands just lightly run your hands over your hair. Also, a leave in conditioner may help too!

thanks for the link. i think pantene made a special line of products for winter a few years ago. i try to avoid synthetic hairbrushes, especially when blowdrying my hair, it seems the hair gets more static than with "natural" hairbrushes.

I use AG varnish, just a bit and rake through dry hair with your fingers it tames the frizzies and calms static

Just carry one of those fabric softener dryer sheets in your purse.. sweep your hair with it whenever you need it...

I have been having static problems since I bought a new ceramic hair dryer. I can't exactly throw it away since I spent $50 on it, but I will never by any of these ceramic hair gimmicks ever again.

I spray Static Guard on my brush - I don't spray it directly on my head. I have also heard that you can rub a Bounce dryer sheet over your head. Only Bounce will work though. It is the only one that is anti-static.

I had this problem last year.. It was horrible! A lot days i was so frusterate with my hair, i would just put it up! I was so disgusted with it! I talked to my hair stylists about this she suggested ISO Daily in Purple

i dont use it anymore though.

I also use bain de terr all day straight.. it works wonders! It is actually for curly hair... which i have very straight hair but it worked to control static.

When i am done blow drying my hair, i spray Kenra's design spray. It is AWESOME! http://kenra.com/DisplayImage.aspx?ID=192

Using the 2 products (Bain de Terre & Kenra) i have noticed it has reduced my hair's static.

Static Guard is mentioned a lot in the thread Kim linked to. I've used dryer sheets. Luckily, we've had a humid winter (and a warm one too!), so I haven't had to battle the static yet this year!
