I really like the way the conditioner from hair dye boxes makes my hair look and feel... is it the same as regular conditioner or what? And can I just buy the conditioner, or is there a good quality conditioner I should try? I realise it's probably in my head, but it seems like the conditioner in the boxes is better than the store bought bottles of conditioner I've used.

What brand of hair dye do you use? Maybe you can try a conditioner from that line to compare.

I think It's like a deep conditioner that helps fight against drying that coloring your hair can cause and also helps seal in the color. I would suggest going to sally's or somewhere like that and asking them what kind of conditioner would be similar to that. Or you can try doing deep conditioning treatments once a week or so. What kind of conditioner do you regularly use other than the kind that comes in the coloring kit?? If its a cheaper brand then maybe you should just try a different, more luxurious conditioner. I use Biolage and I LOVE it.

i totally agree w/ you! they are much better. and the smell is devine!!

my aunt told me once that it's like the best conditioner there is. shes a beautician. not a very good one though, lol!

i havent dyed my hair in years but i can still smell the kind that comes from a certain brand, i forget which though..it came in a red tube. revlon maybe? either way, if i was rich id totally buy the box for the conditioner hehe

I love the conditioner that comes in hair dye boxes! It's the best, I have been on the hunt for a good conditioner just like it, havn't found one yet

haha, so true! I love that stuff. The one I used had a picture of a bee on it. It was so awesome. I wish you could buy it separately!

Those are some awesome little conditioners... Garnier Fructis makes an awesome conditioner, as does HealthySexyHair.

I agree!

i thought i was hallucinating but i guess not hey? lol

they are the best conditioners! they leave my hair feeling awesome, so soft and shiny i love them, i never use the whole tube when i dye my hair though and it lasts me for like a month

yea i agree as well i'm always on a look out for a good hydrating conditioner for thick dry horse hair! haha

I love the way it feels. You know what works for me to get that same feeling. My hair feels super soft after I switch brands. So I now go between my two facorite brands. I think your hair gets used to the other stuff. Or like you said it could be in my head. But it works for me.

i am not sure with all brands but i know that clairol all of them have the same conditioner, and you can buy it seperately from the dye apparently

I think they add more 'cones and various things to the conditioners that come with color--but otherwise, they're pretty standard.

i agree about switching except it doesnt work for me with just two brands..i have to use like 10! and even then it's iffy. it seems like it only works the first time ive EVER used it.

Oh yeah those are so awesome, I'm still stretching out my LOreal Feria one from like 2 months ago because I like it so much. I'm going to Ulta tonight and they are having a huge sale so I'm going to look around.

My friend has a conditioner from Sunsilk in a pink tub, the Hydra TLC formula. I always use it when I'm over there lol, it leaves hair feeling really silky. Oh, at the site the have coupons, and you can sign up to get samples. Need a little Hairapy? Laugh away your hair and life problems with Sunsilk.

That doesn't sound stupid at all! I love the conditioner that comes with hair color, and my mom's hair always looks so much healthier after she uses it.

I'll have to check our Sally's. Thanks for the link!

Hmm so I'm not alone then, lol... Gah, maybe I'll check out the hair place by here to see what they have in stock.

i agree. ive noticed when i dyed my hair i preferd the conditioner to anything ive really ever tried.

I was wondering the exact same thing! By the way thanks for the link=)

That link does not work, do you have another? TIA =)

Yep, the conditioners in the hair dye boxes are better than the regular conditioners sold in the store. So you're not crazy! LOL

At Sally's they sell those conditioners in the full-size bottles. You just have to go in and ask.
