I've been under a lot of stress lately and I've noticed my hair thinning. I already have fine, thin hair so its really worrying me. Its also breaking a lot and i'm getting a lot of split ends. I do put a lot of heat to it (blowdryers, flat irons, and curling irons) and probably don't protect my hair enough. I'm only 22 and I don't want to be bald by the time I'm 35. Is there anything I can do?

Have you seen a doctor about the stress? People wouldn't think that it could cause so many ailments, but it actually does. If your hair is thinning, it can be from stress, but it can also be from another medical condition. I would see a doc - maybe they can recommend whether you need a special shampoo, or just a well deserved vacation! ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I would also try to lay off the heat as much as you can. A good spray protectant should be used everytime you blowdry or iron to keep hair moisturized and to protect it from burns.

I agree with you. Many people don't know what stress and other things can do. I would also lay off the heating until you know what is causing the problem.

I agree maybe you should consider taking vitamins such as Biotin, Msm and Fingerprinted Horsetail or maybe even a hair vitamin! I recommend GNC's Ultranourishair! :smilehappyyes:

i started taking gnc's hair, skin and nail vitamins because i noticed my hair was thinning. i also stopped using heat and let my hair go natural. i do use john frieda products to control the frizz and i've noticed my hair does feel stronger and healthier.
