I have thick coarse wavy hair and it's very hard to manage. I am Asian but I am curse with the worst hair. I wish I had the straight silky Asian hair.

The only way I can have nice hair is if use flat iron. I only use flat iron on special occasion (once a week) . I am thinking about a haircut and I want to know what I should do with my hair. I want Nicole Richie's bob with the side swept bang but I don't know if I can do it since my hair is wavy and coarse. Please give me your suggestions.

The first photo is what I currently have right now.

First off.... welcome to MuT! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I'm Janelle from NY... nice to meet you!

I think that cut would look great on you! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> If you normally just dry it with a blowdryer, get a large round, ceramic barelled brush... it works wonders - you probably won't even need the iron afterwards! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I done that before and sometimes it looks great and sometimes it doesn't. It a "hit" or miss" . I bascially want a wash and go haircut. Thanks for your input :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

oooh, ok. Do you use a smoothing cream or straightening balm when you dry it? I have wavy hair (although its pretty fine) but that's just the way it is... unless you get a chemical process (even then sometimes) it's rarely wash n' go.. unfortunately :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

No I don't use anything on my hair. I just let it air dry. I do use serum (Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Serum) when I'm using the flat iron. I was thinking about the Japanese Straightening system, but I'm afraid it will damage my hair.
