so as y'all know my hair is kinda short. i was wondering if itd be possible to do the beach look with my hair. and if so how?? my hair is typically bone straight (pain in my butt) and i love the beach look.

this is one of those moments that i wished i had my long hair.

my hair is stick straight too....try some curling spray or mousse..i like garnier fructis and herbal essences totally twisted. aussie is pretty good too. work it through damp hair, like scrunching. then what i do is put it in a loose messy bun and wait a little bit, then take it down and spray and scrunch a little more, and blow dry while doing this-you'll get a better hold. hope this helps!

i believe some brand have these beach look hair sprays you could try that if you cant find it you could try some plain water with some salt in a spray. just spray and crunch your hair. it should work

Another spray (never tried it, dont know if it's even still made) is the JF Starlit waves spray.

I have wavy hair, but I have a feeling gel and scrunching is right on.

Herbal Essences makes 3 really good gels- totally twisted like mentioned above, and also body envy and set me up. The last 2 have the most hold if TT doesn't work for you.

hth

theres something that they call dirt. most brads have something similar to it. and it just gives you that fresh out of the water look.

Try a spray with sea salt in it. The salt gives your hair that matte wavy messy texture... it honeslty looks like you just went to the beach.

Spray it into damp hair, scrunch with your hands and blowdry using a diffuser if you have time to add extra wave.

I know John Freida has one and I adore Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray.

hmmm ill have to look into it. thanks ladies.

where can i get a diffuser for my dryer??

Umm most beauty supply stores have some that you can buy and connect it to your hairdryer... just make sure it's the right diameter so that it fits nicely.

Some blowdryers even come with it already!

you and your hair... the way you had it befor in the avater when it was longer look so good the one with the bangs i think you should let it grow out like that again

im definitly growing it back out dont worry. haha. im takin my vitamins and what not.

I use garnier's texture cream stuff to make my hair beachy. It's about the same length as yours.

I just saw a commercial for the new Pantene texturizing line, and they have some beach spray that I wanted to try.
