How do you all feel about the new(ish) 10 minute hair dyes out there? Including semi-permanent and permanent dyes.

A lot of the hype says that they are much gentler and less harsh on your hair, which may be true! Personally for me though, I can't do the ten minute dyes! I have long hair and a lot of it - it takes two boxes of dye to do my hair. By the time I get it all spread through my hair I practically have to leap into the shower to rinse it out because it's already been on too long. Ten minutes from start to finish just doesn't give me enough time!

I tried dyeing my hair with the new Clairol (?) Healthy Look dye a couple months ago and it turned out way too dark - it was supposed to be a light brown but it went a very dark brown because I couldn't rinse it out in time!

So I suppose these dyes might be great if your hair isn't much longer than shoulder or collarbone length but otherwise I just felt rushed to beat the clock so the colour wouldn't be too dark - and it still was!

I personally hate drug store dye..they are so expensive and always seem to be dull to me I was always curious about this 10min dye so I am interested in reading the replies but I personally always got my dye at salleys beauty supply. I buy my dye and delveloper sepertly, it is so much cheaper than the drug store and my result are way better, with better, bright long lasting color. My hair color is black, but I get a few grays so getting a hair color that looks great is important to me

I may try it next month... Just colored my hair last week.. Waiting 30 minutes never bothered me that much.
