I'm going on holiday to Hong Kong and Australia soon and would like to ask if there are some temporary or semi-permanent DIY hair dye brands that are recommended. My hair is naturally jet black but I want a splash of dark red or purple (though not the entire head). And anybody know where I can get them?

there are heaps of different brands. I like wella soft colours, since they're natural, but L'oreal and some of the other brands do more 'out there' colours...

I dug out the reviews of brands I've used before for you -

Hope these help! there is a massive range of colours, honestly. Almost all pharmacists and supermarkets sell hair dye

Rosie's given you some great recs there, I second Loreal, I get my hair done at a salon but when I did colour my hair at home I used Loreal colours and found them to be pretty good and as already said, they have some really vibrant colours in their range.
