I just tried them out on my eyes for the first time. They are so amazing and surprisingly wearable for me being so fair!!!

Youre eyes are so beautiful! You're so pretty, I'm jealous!!!

Is that the red? It look fantastic with your bangs! I've been nervous about trying mine out, but this has given me renewed hope, lol.

I don't think I have ever seen green as as green as these! Wow!!! The CS shadows seem to be more pigmented than I thought. Thanks for the swatches and the eye looks!!!!! :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Can someone PULEEZE post a "look" done with set 2 ? I am at a complete loss as to how to combine these 4 colors and not look like I have jaundice.

This is pretty conventional, but I would put the green on the center of the lid over the iris, the gold on the inner corner and as the transitional color above the crease, and the dark golden olive as the outer corner and crease color.  I would not use the yellow at all.

For those of you who are currently Ipsy subscribers you already know that Ipsy sent out one of eight Coastal Scents eye shadow samples. I emailed them asking if it would be possible to get the remaining sets - as I had sets 4 & 8 through my bags and two of my daughters bags (the fourth bag for one of my daughters had yet to arrive). Today I got a package from Coastal Scents with those sets. I'll have swatches up soon

Set 1: Cloud White (matte), Paris Green (satin), Reef Blue (satin), Thunderous (satin)

The white in this one was a bit hard to work with on bare skin since it's a matte. I've always said mattes and I do not get along since I find matte shadows very difficult to work with and on bare skin it's worse. I love Paris Green and Thunderous.

Set 2: Bright Yellow (matte), Jewel Green (metallic), Gypsy Gold (satin), Dark Golden Olive (metallic shimmer)

Love Jewel Green, Gypsy Gold and Dark Golden Olive.

Set 3: Maroon Berry (matte), Flesh Tone (shimmer), Caramel (shimmer), Light Bronze (metallic shimmer)

Love Flesh Tone and Light Bronze... not sure about Caramel since it's on the orange side.

Set 4: Rosy Pink (matte), Gunmetal (satin), Elven Silver (shimmer), Light Pink (metallic shimmer)

The Rosy Pink wasn't that had to work with like other mattes. Out of all four colors in this mini-sampler set I love all four colors. Never thought I'd ever love a matte.

Set 5: Vibrant Red (matte), Frosty Taupe (shimmer), Vanilla Sky (satin), Raisin Berry (metallic shimmer)

Love, love Raisin Berry and Frosty Taupe. I even like Vibrant Red - don't love it but I do like it. I think we a good base Vibrant Red would be smoking hot.

Set 6: Peach Puff (matte), Cherry Chocolate (satin), Nude (satin), White Silver (metallic shimmer)

Love Cherry Chocolate and I really like Nude. Peach Puff is a funny color, in the pan it doesn't look like the picture from CS website but swatched it does look more similar.

Set 7: Raspberry Tart (shimmer), Lemon Chiffon (satin), Wisteria (satin), Antique Lilac (matte)

Left to right: Antique Lilac, Wisteria, Lemon Chiffon and Raspberry Tart.

I love Wisteria and Raspberry Tart.

Set 8: Vibrant Blue (matte), Deep Eggplant (shimmer), Candlelight (satin), Elven Midnight (metallic shimmer)

Love Deep Eggplant and Elven Midnight.

Of the 32 colors sent out, 11 of the colors are part of the Coastal Scents 252 palette which sells for $39.95. (As of this post it's on sale for $19.95 but the sale will end within a few hours of this post if not sooner.) The pan size in the 252 are the same 0.60" pan while the full size are 1" / 26 mm and sell for $1.99 each (but you can use the Ipsy promo code found in the Ipsy thread) for 20% off.

Bold are the ones in the 252, italic are not in the 252.

Candlelight (satin) - set 8 Caramel (shimmer) - set 3 Lemon Chiffon (satin) - set 7 Peach Puff (matte) - set 6 Raspberry Tart (shimmer) - set 7 Reef Blue (satin) - set 1 Thunderous (satin) - set 1 Vanilla Sky (satin) - set 5 Vibrant Blue (matte)  - set 8 Vibrant Red (matte) - set 5 White Silver (metallic shimmer) - set 6 Antique Lilac (matte)
Bright Yellow (matte)
Cherry Chocolate (satin)
Cloud White (matte)
Dark Golden Olive (metallic shimmer)
Deep Eggplant (shimmer)
Elven Midnight (metallic shimmer)
Elven Silver (shimmer)
Flesh Tone (shimmer)
Frosty Taupe (shimmer)
Gunmetal (satin)
Gypsy Gold (satin)
Jewel Green (metallic)
Light Bronze (metallic shimmer)
Light Pink (metallic shimmer)
Maroon Berry (matte)
Nude (satin)
Paris Green (satin)
Raisin Berry (metallic shimmer)
Rosy Pink (matte)
Wisteria (satin)

My overall thoughts on the colors. Every single color are gorgeous but the images up on Coastal Scent are not close to what the colors look like in reality as seen in Set 7 and in Peach Puff (Set 6). The colors are far more rich in person than the images of the individual pans. For those looking for a matte red try the Coastal Scents Vibrant Red for $1.99. I'll have actual swatches up in a few hours once I get one my kids home to use their arm for swatching. :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Added the swatches. Getting a nine-years-old boy to stay still was a challenge and it doesn't help that the day is so gray so all the photos were taken outside under natural light with the flash on.
Thank you so much for the detailed swatches.  I received Set 1 and when I placed another order with Coastal Scents they also sent me the Set 7.  I ordered the 288 shadow set!  I had never used Costal Scents shadows and was pleasantly surprised with them.  I agree about the matte shade in Set 1.  That one has very little colour payoff.  Thank you again for the detailed info!

You all are missing out by not using the yellow that is the one color I would never be without, why you ask

Yellow is the second most aggressive color it can be seen from great distances and blends in to the skin, when I want to make the eyes pop or pull out a deep set eye spot of yellow at the center of the lid and blend in wow you wont even notice the yellow just the pop of the lid.

when you put the yellow on don't apply it all the way across the lid just dead center and blend, after all we are painting eyes not walls.
