I'm looking for a sun protectant hair spray? Preferably something I can find at Target, if not then maybe Ulta to say the least. I heard Joico makes one, but I'm not sure? Or can I use heat protection instead? I'm totally lost.

the one i use (acutally i used it finally yesterday since it was redicuoulsy hot outside) is from Matrix's Biolage line. its in a white bottle with a orange spray top. and its a "Protective Daily Mist".

i got it at ulta (but im sure its in other salons as well) for like $12. i like it cause its not greasy and doesnt weigh your hair down.

downside: it smells like coconuts (which i dont care for, but the smell goes away pretty fast).

I don't think all heat protectants will shield your hair from UV rays.

Frederic Fekkai has a Summerhair Sunshine Shield Spray for $22 at Ulta.

They also have a Defense Pre-Style Thermal/UV Protectant that will protect your hair from both for $25.

Frizz Ease by John Frieda makes a Thermal Protection Serum that is both a heat protectant and protects against UV damage for $9.

i have one from Rene Furterer which is really nice and doesn't grease my hair, it's called protective summer fluid.

i have tried the hair products (shampoos, conditioners...) for dyed hair as they contain UV filters. except my hair's not dyed so it didn't do it much good
