After a while, like, five years of contemplating, I have decided that my natural brown hair, I really cannot wear anymore. Honestly, my hair has darkened over the years, but I am pale, and my brown hair does nothing for me. It makes me look sick, and I don't feel confident when looking in a mirror. I am a better blonde. The last time I had blonde hair, I was 15, it was a combination of caramel and light blonde, after I got over the shock, and it faded a bit, it looked very good. I was wondering what your opinions on the best blonde shade for a pale woman is? I have cool undertones, but have not been able to determine just yet if it is pink or blue. I have hazel eyes, which favors green a bit more. Any help is much appreciated! I don't want to be TOO drastic, that would be too much of a shock...but I am up for suggestions.

Thanks ladies!

I would go with the caramel highlights again. I have pale skin, dark hair and hazel eyes as well. I have experimented with color since I was 16 (I am now 34). So that is a lot of experimenting, lol.

I thought that the dark was too harsh for my skin tone and I did all blone, I thought it looked so good. Now I see pics and think what on earth was I thinking. I have also had black (I let a girl at the salon talk me into it) which was far too harsh as well.

So now I stick with brown with caramel hightlights, red or my natural a chocolate brown color.

Post a before and after pic when you get it done.

I was thinking honey blonde may be okay? Hmmm...maybe I'll stick with the caramel, it was a nice color.

Usually people look good with whatever colour they had when they were a child. I guess I'd suggest that. Or the colour you had when you were 15.

Simply Elegant...thats a GREAT suggestion

I'll try that one for sure....

it depends on the undertones of your skin.

for example im super pale with blue undertones everywhere except my cheeks which are always red.

so i tend to go with warmer colors or colors with slight hints of red.

If you really liked it when you were 15, then take a picture of you then if you have one. If not I think pale girls look pretty with light honey-ish tones or a golden strawberry blonde.

Thanks, girls! I don't think I can rock light blonde, but caramel and honey...yeah, I just look so much brighter! Thanks, girls.

If you have a pale blue undertone, you could go ashy blonde, or even platinum.

If you have a cool rosy undertone, stay away from the ash, it will wash you out (ala Lindsay Lohan). If you are very VERY pale (cannot tan at all) stay away from the heavily yellow/golden based colors it will be too strong against your skin, or as others have suggested, strawberry blonde might go well with the rosy tones.

All the lighter hair colors that I've ever really loved on all types of people are neutral-based and remind me of yummy edibles: butterscotch, toffee, caramel, champagne... etc. You just can't go wrong with those lovely neutral colors.

And SimplyElegant had a very bright idea also!
