Styling short hair tips?

I have short hair (just recently cut) and i would like to know if anyone knew some tips on how to stlye short hair. I tried to put in a mohawk, but that look doesn't fit well with me...

I read somewhere that a small iron usually styles it pretty well, but i really don't know where to start and on top of that i don't have a small flat iron. I use curling irons with a small & medium barrels. If you could link some pictures to give me an idea, that would be great. Thanks!

i have short hair and its just messed up but ive never had luck with styling it anyways

you can visit expert village. Dawn Shannon made some videos on how to use hair accessories with short, medium and long hair.

for the short hair she shows headbands, small clips, tiaras and combs. useful videos.
