What’s the difference between ionic and creamic straightners?

which is better for the hair in term of causing damage and how easy it is, because a few years ago I bought this babyliss crimper 4 in 1 it had a bunch of crimpers and a straightner un attachable ones and it was horrible it wouldn’t straighten my hair and felt like I was pulling my hair out of my head. and my hair is soft with a little waive it shouldn’t be that hard anyway I want to buy a new straightner this time I want a good one..........I talk allot :p /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I would appreciate all of your advice

best thing if u dont get an answer is ask a hairdresser good luck!

from what i know, all ceramic hair straighteners release negative ions, making the straightener ionic as well. i used to use cheap old hair straighteners that i bought for 20 dollars (i probably had the same one you did) that did nothing but ruin my hair. what's popular now are the ionic ceramic straighteners because they negative ions they release adds softness and shine while straightening the hair.

thank u very much i cant wait to go and buy a new hair straightner, i've always wanted to try that really straight hair look.

how much are you willing to spend on a hair straightener? i can help reccomend some for you

If you're willing to spend the extra money, a tourmaline straightener is even better than a ceramic one. I haven't bought one yet, but whenever I've used one I've been able to straighten my hair at half the heat I use with my ceramic one.

sedus are approx 100 w/ free shipping on folica.com

To answer your question:

Ceramic Flat Iron plates are able to distribute heat across the entire surface evenly, retains heat more efficiently, and eliminates damaging hot spots. Ceramic plates radiates far-infrared heat to preserve more moisture within the hair shaft and causes less damage to the hair cuticle. It also emits negative ions, which eliminate static electricity and deliver shinier and sleeker results.

Your hair may be fine with metal plate flat iron, but a ceramic flat iron definitely provides smoother and glossier hair.

I recommend the CHI

Technically an ion is a molecule that has gained or lost an electron and bears a charge of energy. For centuries, natural negative IONS have been used to restore, rejuvenate and revitalize the body and mind. Nature produces negative ions wherever energy is transferred-through lightening and thunderstorms, by friction in wind and rain, the splitting of water into droplets by waterfalls and ocean surf, and by natural activation in minerals from the earth.

Negative ION energy is powerful enough to break water molecule clusters into micro-fine particles and penetrate the hair shaft, leaving the hair moister and less brittle. An Ionic ceramic flat iron or hair dryer utilizes negative ion energy to infiltrate each hair shat to energize, strengthen and restore the hair from the inside out. It dries your hair more quickly, and make your hair softer, shinier, more manageable and less flyaway.

I recommend the Babyliss

The new trend flat iron. Tourmaline gemstone crystals, a natural source of negative ions and far-infrared heat, are infused into the plates. The naturally tourmaline ionic flat iron ensures the most negative ions and far infrared heat, creates beautiful styles with a pure gloss finish.

I recommend the Babyliss

If you lived in the states Jeno, I would highly recommend trying dupes from Sally's Bauty Supply, they are excellent
