During Christmas shopping season, there was a booth in our local mall. The guy stood out and asked if he could demo his straightening iron on my hair. I have very naturally curly hair, so I let him. He straightened a small section behind my ear that hung down on my shoulder. The iron he had is used on wet or dry hair, and while it was wet, it steamed dry my hair.

I freaked out thinking, this thing is sucking all moisture out of my hair! But let me tell you something, that section of hair stayed stick straight for 2 more days (until I washed it!) It looked like I had naturally STICK straight hair! Even after sleeping on it, humidity, etc.

My question is this: What iron is this??? He showed me the price on the box was $120 US, but was going to sell it for $75 US. I think it was from France. Actually, he was French too!

Now I wish I had bought it for myself, because I have tried Chi irons and they don't seem to do much better than cheaper ones on my hair.

I think they are still at the mall. I saw them about two weeks ago. I will find out for you if I go back tomorrow. If you get one you have to let me borrow it! ha ha ha I have a good straightener if you need to use one!

there are so many of them, there is a conair one, Remington, sunbeam, t3, babyliss and kodo, maybe do a search to see if u can find it.

I think i know what one you are talking about. I am not sure the name but i will definetly try to find out!

I saw those in the mall in Orlando. They are probably the same ones. I hope you find it. Maybe you could sell your chi and use the money to purchase the new one.
