Ok. Sorry if theres a simular topic on here about this. But I want a straight answer for myself. I have naturally wavy hair that everyone loves but me. My life dream is to straight hair and would give anything for natural straight hair. In the past I've tryed drug store brand straighters and they didnt work. Then with birthday money I got a more professinal one that's ceramic for around $120. What I really wana know (since I want a new straightener for christmas) is what are the differences between..

CHI Ceramic Flat Irons

Regular Ceramic Irons

GHD Professinal Straighteners

Or any other iron that could be better.

Since the CHI one is cheaper than the one I already have, do you think mine's good enough or is there a chance the CHI could still be better?

Also, I dont have any type of credit card, I do have paypal but it would work best if this could be purchased offline because my mom would be buying it and she has no type of credit card either and she wouldn't get all this buying online type stuff.

CHI iron link here:

CHI Ceramic Flat Iron (original model), GF1001, Free Shipping

This link, has lots of brands..which is best?

Ok this is extra, if you really wana be nice anyone with fine and really wavy hair could mind taking before and after pics with a type of iron you use to reccomend also?

Thanks a ton everyone in advance!! This means a lot to me! :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I'm not sure exactly what the difference is between those three flat irons you listed, but I've heard from a lot of people that the CHI breaks easily. Regular flat irons don't seem to heat up as high as "professional" flat irons. Many people swear by GHD, and others by the Sedu. I personally would like the Sedu or the Solia... you can read up on the best flat irons at folica.com

I can only speak for the chi and I love it!! I haven't tried any of the other professional brands.

I have a Solia, and I looove it. I bought it from folica.com too. I heard the Chi is not very durable. I tried my cousin's GHD a few times. Its pretty good as far as getting to the heat setting I need but I like my Solia better, it seems better for my hair. I heard the BEST iron right now is the Sedu but it is quite expensive, but if you can afford it, then it's well worth the price

Definitely look into purchasing a Solia. They're much cheaper than the really high-end flat irons (e.g., Sedu) and of similar quality. Folica.com has great reviews that are specific to hair type, etc. so you might want to look there for info too.

I've heard the best reviews on CHI and Sedu. I don't own a flat iron myself, so I can't personally give an opinion short of the CHI since they use it on me in salons.

ive heard good reviews on chi and sedu also..

however i am partial to the ion straightner at sallys its 70 dollers for the 1" plates

it is ceramic and what not and i liek it best cause it gets hot but not to hot that it will kill your hair

I have the Sedu and it makes my frizzy wavy/curly hair verrrrry sleek and soft. I get so many compliments on my hair, and it only takes about 15-20 minutes to get it perfect. I really recommend it.
