So I've got these small bumps on my forehead ... not acne. Does anyone know what these are called and how to get rid of them? I've had them for years and they're driving me insane.

I probably should go to a derm. I've been to them in the past for my acne but I never asked them about my forehead bumps because at the time I assumed they were acne ... they're really tiny (much smaller than the average zit) and flesh colored. I could go to a dermatologist but I'm afraid after I spend the money, they'll just dismiss it as being acne (which I'm almost positive it's not).

Well I'm hoping a good derm wouldn't! lol what you may like to do is seek out an alternative medicine doctor that specializes in or has studied dermatology. They tend to not be so quick to diagnose simply and just throw meds at you. It's hard to say what you have without being there and seeing it. That'd be my best suggestion! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Maybe it's kp? Keratosis pilaris? Either way, I'm not a doc and can't diagnose. . So definitely check with a doc if it concerns you that much.

I had the same type of bumps on my upper cheeks for years. The esthetician said it was congestion. I tried all kinds of scrubs and recommended products to get rid of them but they kept coming back. Then I bought a clarasonic mia . It's the only thing that keeps the bumps away . I may have a few every once in a while but it's been a major improvement since using the mia. Also the same situation with blackheads on my nose. Since using the mia no more blackheads and I also tried every thing under the sun for those too. Also be careful about products you using on your hair. When my daughter uses certain types of product on her hair some will cause that congestion on her forehead.

Thanks so much for the advice. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Yeah, I'm still using a derm as my last resort because I'd rather not spend the money. I do have a couple of bottles of retin-A left from a few years ago so I may try it and see if it helps.

It doesn't really concern me from a medical standpoint ... it's more about vanity, lol ... because when my foundation is on it looks like a bunch of acne bumps.

Anyways, yeah it does look A LOT like KP and my friend pointed that out awhile ago, but I thought most people got it on their arms - I didn't think it was that common to get on your forehead. I might go to Sephora and ask them for a sample of the Dermadoctor KP moisturizer and see if it helps.

PR, I can't use the clarisonic unfortunately. It broke me out like crazy and I used it for the recommended 90 days, so I had to return it. It could be congestion though ... hmm ... I'll google it, thanks. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
