So I've recently become kind of obsessed with skincare :S but yesterday I realised, what if I'm using too much stuff on my face. I've no idea so if someone could let me know xx This is what I use atm Morning: Nivea cleansing lotion Moisturiser - either Olay regenerist flawless skin cream or Nivea rick moisturising day cream (I was thinking of adding a toner as well - I've got no7 soft and soothed in the cupboard somewhere! Haha At night: Take off most of my makeup with makeup wipe or Nivea cleansing lotion Use Nivea extra gentle eye makeup remover Use Simple kind to skin vital vitamin foaming cleanser to get rid of any remaining makeup/dirt. Use the same Nivea day moisturiser that I use in the morning, I know it's not great to use at night because its SPF 20 but I don't have another moisturiser right now and my skin is dry so I need something Use boots tea tree and witch hazel night treatment gel (which I love btw!!) If I've got any spots ill use my boots tea tree and witch hazel spot wand I think that's it Any advise xxx ?

It depends on what you want to accomplish with your skin care routine!

First of all, what is your age?

Then I'd probably start simply add a good nighttime moisturizer

They tend to be richer and hydrate more deeply than a daytime moisturizer. When I first starting using night moisturizers I began with Olay's Regenerist Night Recovery Moisturizing Treatment. It made a big difference in the softness of my skin. Try adding a night moisturizer and see if it makes any difference and let me know! Also be sure that you are drinking plenty of water. It's summer time, our bodies can dry out quickly and it can really make a difference in the suppleness of your skin!

It seems that you are using a good mix of things. It's excellent that you're using a makeup remover AND a cleanser! A lot of people only use makeup remover and they don't realize how much residue is left from the makeup.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Thank you xx I will pick up a nighttime moisturiser next time I'm in boots. It doesn't feel like summer here in England anyway haha but I drink a lot of water anyway. I'll probably try out the Nivea nighttime moisturiser because the day time one works well for me. Would you recommend adding the toner or not? I've heard people say its one of the most important things in their skincare routine and people say its not important. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Daffodils XOXO

I wouldn't just yet if you're having problems with dry skin. Toners typically are for women who have very oily skin and it wipes away that excess oil and tightens pores, but it can also dry out your skin. See if the moisturizer helps with the dryness and if it does, then you can try a toner!

Yes, I suppose your Summers in England would vary very much from my Texas Summer! lol

Thank you xx the toner I had says 'hydarating' so I just wasn't sure. Although I don't have huge pores or anything I would like to tighten them a bit. To be honest if I use moisturiser religiously, I can kind of keep my skin normal instead of dry
