Well I've tried this style and I dunno how you guys do it. My main problem is keeping the bangs in place once I've "swept" them, if you know what i mean. Do you guys use spray or blowdrying it to the side, or use a clip? mine just fall in my face and its frusterating! Whats the trick here?!

I wish I knew! AnnaBelle posted a great tut on her bangs, but I think my hair is just too thick. My hair really does whatever it wants to HAHA!

You may want to think about getting some hair glue, or whetever you call it. There is some from, I think, TIGI that it really goot but doesn't get your hair all sticky/greasy looking. I hope you are able to find somethink that works for you!

Well, I've finally trained mine to go to the side, but I always seem to have the problem of them separating - like some of them break away and just hang down straight in my face, and then there's a gap.

my bangs automatically go to the side now. its because i got my hair cut with one side of bands longer then the other. make sence?

i used to try the side swept bangs thing when i had even bangs, but it never worked.

My hairdresser cuts mine to the side too, but inbetween cuts I do my own bangs, since they grow faster. I've gotten pretty good at it too.

i had the same problem when i was younger, but my hair was long enough to put it behind my ear. if you can't do that, i suggest you use a bit of hair spray, or just cute barrettes, clips.

i have them all one length but i use a flat iron and then use hairspray to hold them in place.

blow drying them to the side works, it's what i do and then i go over them with a flat iron.

I had my hairstylist cut me side-swept bangs. But that alone isn't enough. So I have to blow dry it too to the side.

My hairdresser cut mine as well....but i still have to flat iron it...and well it just seems to fall into place after tht.

I part the hair on the side and it just goes naturally to way it was cut.

Promade or some styling glue should hold it (some) in place.

Start parting your hair to one side, to train it to go in that direction, but for now I would recommend using a good flat iron. Just hold your bangs to the side you want them and press the flat iron on the very root straightening in that direction. You can also try curling the ends out and towards the back or your head, so that they are inclined to go to one side.

I agree! clipping your bangs to the side when you're at home or asleep works wonderfully. also when you blow dry your hair, hold the dryer horizontally to the direction where you want your bang to hang, but remember to use hot air! once your hair is completely dry, switch to the cold air and dry it for a few more minutes that helps to hold the bangs in place. i learned this trick from my hairstylists.

My stylist gave me this tip. She said that you should take some of that promade or paste between your index finger and thumb. Rub it a bit between fingers. Take the bang parts at the VERY end and "attach" them to the longer hair on the side. That styling paste is really sticky and it will hold the bangs in place with the longer hair on the side. See my pic on the left. I have attached the bangs to the longer part of my hair. My bangs always fall in my face without the paste.
