Shaving, recommend a better way

Hey all, I was wondering if you had any experiences with alternatives to plain razor shaving on the before mentioned areas. Sugaring and waxing have been recommended, which I'd like to try out since you can do homemade mixtures or use kits.

Do you have any alternatives to these or experiences with them? (ie. better razors, creams, experiences, electric close shavers etc.)
