Ok i was at jc pennys yesterday trying to find the joico line the lovely gina suggested...

<---gina is awesome...anywho they were out yes out of a lot of stuff i think bc they are moving to the new mall across town. Anyways i saw they had a deep condish from the sexy hair line that i heard leesha talking about. It was on sale for like 8 dollars cant beat that when its usually 12 i think. Well a stylist saw me picking it up looking at it and going to pay and she rushes out and tell me that is not for AA hair. Then gives me a long speech abut how she always has to tell AA women esp those with relaxed hair to stay away from the whole sexy hair line. I just put it back and left bc i dont like to be lectured esp in a rude loud manner.

Is there a reason that AA esp ones with relaxed hair should stay away from the line? I know i stay away from the big sexy hair products when they first came out bc my hair is already thick and gaining volume isnt an issue although i wish my hair wasnt so BIG even with a realxer it can get big LOL. Now i see the line has way more options and ive heard nothing but good things about it. So why in the world would that woman tell AA women to stay away from that line? Is there something i should know?

While I cant comment about the AA hair types... I have to say that the volumizing shampoo is the best I have ever used. I did notice a little more volume but what made me really like it was the way my hair felt after.. soo incredibly soft and smooth.

I'm not sure why the sales person would say that. The 'Healthy Sexy' line and the 'Sexy Organics' are awesome lines for ALL hair types....what treatment was it that you were going to get?

it looked like this Moisturizing Treatment ( Color Me Sexy (( Sexy Hair

i think this was it...i usually get for color treated hair well bc i use a rinse to cover my two grey hairs LOL....and plus those usually are very moisturizingbc colored treated hair need a lot of moisture. I didnt get why she was acting a fool about it. She ept trying to get me to buy mizani products and i just dont like the way they make my hair feel. More greasy than moisturized.

...but that woman was rude. I asked my own stylist today and she said she use to work with her and shes old fashioned and crazy. she says she still is of the thinking that black people cant use so called "white products". She also said that back when the line first came out it was just the volumizing stuff and since a lot of aa women have no issues attaing volume bc of the natural kinks that wouldbe one reason BUT not all aa have the same hair. She said there are women like my mama who would benefit from using that line bc my mama always wants volume. She said ignore that crazy woman LOL. Because at the end of the day it just depends on your hair. She said she wouldnt recommend the big sexy hair but that stuff i was gonna get would have been more than fine...in fact she said that would have helped my moisture issues im still working on..she also said the joico was a good choice too. She ended by saying that gina is an awesome stylist herself to be able to tell what your hair needs just by descriptions on the internet and that womens hair all over would be in better shae if there were more people like her working on hair so my stylist gave gina props (she usually doesnt speak highly of a lot of stylist esp ones from where i live bc ..they ummm yea suck lol)

My stylist says shell get me some for that cheap ...she didnt know i was interested in that line. She also carries biosilk for like 6.00

..so my hair will be happy soon. As soon as the new jc pennys opens ill grab some joico until then its sallys knock off version.

Shhhh.....you're feeding my hair ego!!!!

I have a lot of AA clients, so I know a thing or two

i think it is hard to generalize ALL of one hair type.

she proboably knew one person who used it and it didnt work for, and it just happened to be a person with AA hair, and had relaxed hair.

that being said, if overall people seem to be using the product and loving it (like leesha) that it is proboably worth a try.

also i would assume it is very moisturizing, which is what they usually suggest for relaxed hair
