Im trying to decide if I should make an order now or wait for the 20%. If I order now I have to sped $50 or pay shipping wondering how fast these bags will sell out.
Keep in mind that we won't be able to combine a code + the 20% off, since it's also a code.

Not very many holiday sets I'm into this year so far.  Still wanting to pick up the Nars trio in Roman Holiday, but as of right now it is listed as nars.com exclusive item... but bloggers have said it'll be available in Nov, so I'm going to wait and see a couple more weeks.

I'm happy the sale starts on payday for me!  I think I'm going to pick up a couple Dior eyeshadow palettes for sure (grege and tutu), and I recently found out I like Versace crystal noir perfume (smells deep, feminine, and slightly of chocolate), so I might pick up some of that. Looks like this wont work, they don't have this version. :-(  Maybe some D&G mono cream eyeshadows.

I still want the D&G blush in Tan...but I don't know if it is worth it when I could effectively use a bronzer I already have to get the same look most likely.  I do like the formula though.

And I don't really "need" it yet, but I might as well pick up a backup mascara (Dior it-lash) and concealer (Dior star concealer) since I will need them a couple weeks after the sale ends.

I'm sure there will be a few other things I end up impulsively buying too.  Other than the above, the only things I'm ants in the pants excited about are the other colors of the Hourglass eyeshadow palettes coming out in the new year.

In other news, I did get my Nars holiday lip pencil set the other day.  Love it!  Even the dark red pencil, I didn't think I'd be into it, but t lasted a good almost 5 hours before really fading.  The red orange is pretty similar to the satin pencil Timanfaya, which I love..however this holiday pencil is a matte one.  And all the satin pencils are amazeballs flattering on me.  I thought the peach and the mauve-peach ones would be too similar, but one is clearly peach, while the other is more mauve with a tiny hint of coral-peach in it.  They even look great layered.

The Sephora bags are not as appealing to me this year as they were last year.  I was only really interested in the 3rd bag, Flawless Refresh.  I'll definitely use the Clarins, First Aid Beauty, Bliss, and GlamGlow.  I already have a Clinique Almost Lipstick in black honey, that shade looks a little dark on me (I know it supposedly works on everyone, but I'm fair and prefer light colors so it's not my fave) so I'll probably gift the one in this set.  The only thing I don't have any interest in is the Tarte gloss.

I've been impressed with the Sephora codes recently.  I received my 20% off in the mail a few days ago and I can't wait to put it to use.  I've been saving the larger purchases for it  :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Just a pet theory, ladies, but I think we'll be able to get at least two bags if we're VIBs. Since the code is "VIBSEASON" there is going to have to be a non-VIB version of it as well. And I don't think they can bar you from using one code just because you've previously ordered another (or if they can, that is more work than they're willing to put in, as we've seen from the 150pt debacle). So you'll be able to get at least 2/3 bags, which it seems like mostly everyone is only interested in two anyway.

The other reason they might be doing it is because if VIBs grab up ALL the bags, then they'll be none for the regular shoppers. These are pretty well-stocked from what I remember, but VIBs, man.

@@Flowerfish I feel you. I think the main draw of the bags to me right now is actually the pretty red bag. XD I'm probably going to wait a bit and figure out the official dates on these. Also that 4% on Ebates right now is not enough of a draw for me... IDK, it just feels a little flat for me. I felt like their pick three travel sized items was a better deal than this from the summer... especially if you got the Prada roller ball.

This is how I justified it...figure u spend about $25/$35 to get the bag...if you calculate 20% off, it is $5/$7 off about...is the bag worth that much? I say yes for mine...the Glam Glow alone is worth that much. I picked the second one because I am planning on getting the Glam Glow set during the 20% off and it doesn't have the green mask in it. Glam Glow literally changed my skin, so until the cleansers release in January...I will be mask happy. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Luckily for me, the VIB bag code came at the same time as the restock of an item I have been waiting for, so I didn't have to decide! :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I went with bag #1 because the only other one that I wanted was the skincare bag, and I am up to my eyes in deluxe skincare samples!

So if we can use another code in the future, great, if not - oh well. I mean, personally, I buy what I want either way so although a code might be a tipping point, it certainly isn't what I base my purchases on. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

The bag is definitely worth the $5-7, but for those of us without flash or rouge shipping, we're tasked with the choice of spending another $6 on shipping or bumping our orders up to $50, which would be $10 with the 20% off. And for me, the bag isn't worth spending another $25-30 AND losing out on a $10 discount, and the samples aren't calling my name enough for me to lose a $5-7 discount and spend $6 shipping as well.

How do you ladies find these codes?!? I'm new here lol and I went to the Sephora website and can not find it!
I got an email from Sephora advertising the code. Sephora is notorious for sending out different codes to different customers, or not sending them at all though.

True...I can see how the (lack of) free shipping would change the perceived value of the bag.

It is also currently only available to Sephora VIB and VIB Rouge customers. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

@@tweakabell i think you posted the Marc Jacob minis. Are they spray perfumes or can they be transferred to a travel container maybe?
They're dabbers (assuming they're the same packaging as the minis I have from Ulta)

I've never tried to transfer them to a different container but my impression from applying it is that it won't pour out very easily.

ETA: Argh, that's a really bad pic. Let me know if you need a clearer one :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

the bag is not enough to tempt me to purchase anything --- i'm on a no buy this month, and it's just not that tempting. i already have most of those stuff, and the ones i don't have, i'm not interested in. excited about the rouge event though! my officemate in grad school is coming with me! i'll be getting a small ticket item just to get the bag and the shashi bracelet. my sephora is by a train station on my way home from school, so it works out.  :smilehappyyes:

@ thank you so much! I prefer them to have a spray but I ordered them anyway. I'm sure I'll love them or gift them.

Are they supposed to be putting goodies in our rouge event bag? Or just the bag and bracelet?

i don't think it says that in the fine print, but i'm just pretty optimistic with the sephora at state street (downtown chicago). i think/hope they'll put samples in there!
