Same, and I loooove Bite lippies /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I would gently suggest it to my family as a christmas present (the only one I would want) but they'd tell me I was insane LOL. But... If they get me sephora gift cards like they usually get, I'd totally snap it up if it was still available in January so I can make a dent toward qualifying for VIB.That's AWESOME! I've bought so many lip sets this season though /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I doubt I could justify a $100 one
I haven't seen the sample sizes anywhere so can't do any actual calculations, but I would assume that the skincare bag (2nd bag in @'s post) has the highest value just because skincare usually has the highest price point. However, I would say the value of these bags should be ranked based on whether the items would actually be used or not. For example, I'm more of lippie/eyeliner girl - I would happily pick a $10 lipstick over a $30 moisturizer.Does anyone know the value of the bags? I plan on giving whatever I get away as a gift so would like products with higher value!
In that case I would suggest getting either the first or third bag - skincare, while it may be higher value, has a very high margin of error and your giftee may have sensitive skin that may prevent her from trying the items. Plus the 2 foils in it would probably detract from the perception of whatever the actual value is. The 1st bag seems like the type you'd take for a night out while the 3rd bag has "safer" lip colours and it does also have glamglow, which I haven't personally tried but know is very popular and quite pricy.Thats a great point and exactly what I'd do if i were getting it for myself. I'm not sure what my giftee would prefer the most so was just going to get them the highest value!
I also got the mailer in the email, and they didn't include sample sizes like they usually do. Usually, however, Sephora launches a dedicated page about their sample bags (before it was sephora.com/itkit for example) which doesn't seem to be up yet, and these are the VIB codes... I'm guessing we'll get a page.I haven't seen the sample sizes anywhere so can't do any actual calculations, but I would assume that the skincare bag (2nd bag in @'s post) has the highest value just because skincare usually has the highest price point. Yeah, I got the email too and the first thing I did was scroll down to look for sample sizes lol! Hopefully they put a page up soon, though I'm sure the value will be slightly inflated because they'll be counting that the bag is worth $15 or some discrepancy along those lines.I also got the mailer in the email, and they didn't include sample sizes like they usually do. I do have to say though, this year's does not seem as generous as the previous two years. :/ And they let us get multiple bags in previous years. Eh. *shrugs*
Looking at the bags from last year, these are just as good I think! I feel like I remember last year you could select one, and then later they did a blitz where you could select again, maybe after the VIB sale? I had a purchase with one just before the sale, and then they offered them again after I thought.Yeah, I got the email too and the first thing I did was scroll down to look for sample sizes lol! Agreed, I remember being way more impressed the past 2 years. I think it has something to do with the way they split the bags this year, like a different combination of the 24 items for the 3 bags would've been more impressive (if that makes any sense).
Strangely enough, I just found the links to the blitz bags from last year, if anyone wanted a refresher of what they were:

I wish one of my friends was into makeup so I could split this with her or at least so I could gift half of it. I have half the shades already and they would just go to waste. Darn!I found myself browsing holiday sets on Sephora and welp, I did not see this, I did not see this... http://www.sephora.com/mix-n-mingle-P390689?skuId=1643501
I think I'll be grabbing one of these http://www.sephora.com/mix-n-mingle-lip-minis-P390694?skuId=1628247 in Poppy/Scarlet though!
From what I remember, there was the typical sephora code inconsistency where some ladies were able to order as many as they liked, while others were only able to order 1.Looking at the bags from last year, these are just as good I think! If it makes you feel any better I have been stalking the Bite products every day and I think today is the first day that set has been up. Also, unless you would use literally all of the colors/products it's really not that much of a better deal than buying the individual minis. So weak. I think you should be able to choose each bag once. The joke is, they do this to stop people from taking advantage of the codes and selling them so that everyone can have a chance at one, but 1. When there's an actually great code, they go SO FAST it's insane, 2. If I spend the money, let me use the code I want to freakin' use, and 3. The scammers HAVE MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS to get stuff to sell on eBay, so it's all for naught.
Of course I see that huge Bite kit right after the F&F code expired...
BAH! HUMBUG!
It looks like most, if not all off the items in the kit are also available separately at the $12 pp, so if you weren't thrilled with everything, you could just pick and choose!I found myself browsing holiday sets on Sephora and welp, I did not see this, I did not see this... http://www.sephora.com/mix-n-mingle-P390689?skuId=1643501
