Also the philosophy sample of the microdelivery peel (2 step) is huge. Step 1 is .30 and step 2 is .17, I'd guess 2 to 3 uses =)

Fb messaged about the canceled orders..

"Thank you for messaging us.

In reviewing our records, some of your orders did contain the 150 Memory Match Promotional offer, which did not require a minimum purchase. You are welcome to try to replace the order. Some of our other promotional offers do require a minimum purchase. If you orders falls within our guidelines, it will be approved by our Orders Department. We appreciate your patience throughout this process."

I just got off the phone with them, they aren't letting me place any orders less than $25 anymore which isn't too big of a deal in my opinion, most of my orders are around there anyway.  I just wish they would have sent me an email to say "hey the 150 point codes can't be used on any orders less than $25" because it totally doesn't state that on the code.  They also told me that if I used a 150 point code again I would be banned from placing orders online! lol Be careful y'all.
That's so scary!! I've been totally fine, I can place orders under $25 just not more than one $1 order a day (which I never do anyway because I have so many samples I hate them now)

The crazy inconsistency is one of the things that got Rouge members upset when it first came out -- people were getting banned for placing multiple orders using the only advantage that Rouge offered at the time: free shipping. I'm sure I am tempting the Banhammer with my small orders but to me it's worth the risk. Getting banned from online orders would be the boost my no-buy needs anyway. ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

This also gives me a clue that the points will not be expiring, since they seem to be scrambling to stop the free point orders. Obviously I don't think people should be getting TOO greedy but I don't see anything wrong with taking advantage of one of the rare no-minimum codes that is actually worthwhile.
And I STILL have the email from CS that said I was allowed to make as many orders as I pleased, $1 order or not. Now, there's a difference between that and using a code over and over that's supposed to be one-time use, but this whole thing is a mess!

SORRY FOR THE TRIPLE POST BUT

LOLOL FB CS told me that I *DID* violate TOS by doing that (when I asked a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT QUESTION), but i've had no orders canceled. My boyfriend made one for me under my account yesterday to cheer me up (WHILE HE WAS SICK, that angel!!) and I have a shipping notification today.

As far as hair brushes go, MASON PEARSON 4 LIFE.  I've had mine for 4 years. They even include tools for keeping it clean & like new!

I want a Mason Pearson but my daughter is a hair brush thief who loses all hair brushes. My husband and I each have the Spornette version and I bought her some other brand that she has deemed acceptable. She has so many hair brushes and can never find one. Maybe now that I bought my drawers to organize everything I will give in and buy one since it looks like she has been leaving my brush alone since it is not out on my dresser. This is the one we have.

I feel like such a hairbrush peasant with these posts about nice hairbrushes lol! I've had mine for at least 5 years now and I'm pretty sure it was just a $5 one from Target - I only use mine every 2-3 days when I'm about to wash my hair, or if I'm about to straighten my hair, which only happens once every 2-3 months. I have the type of ridiculous curly hair that expands into a dull, frizzy mess if I brush or comb out the curl pattern so I leave it alone as much as I can lol.

Holy moly!! Is it really that much more awesome than the cheap ones?
The Spornette brush is supposedly as close as your going to get without spending the money. I still want the Mason Pearson! The condition of my hair really improved using the Spornette and the next thing that helped a lot was no towels, only my microfiber turban thingy in my wet hair.

Hi all! I haven't been on MUT in aaages due to general life madness. I've been catching up on the last few days while taking study breaks and thought I'd chime in on brushes. If you're a Curly, I highly recommend the classic Denman brushes, like the D3 and the D4. It's the best thing ever for gently teasing out tangles in wet hair (with leave-in conditioner in my case). My husband, with his significantly shorter and straighter hair, is constantly snagging it. Two years later, it still looks like new, since you can easily clean it without worries or any tools. I've heard of people who've had theirs for over a decade. Even better, you can generally find them for around $12 or less.

That's my brush spiel done.

About the Mason Pearson: 1. Yes, I love the brush. It works perfectly.

But, here's the thing: yes, it is pricey. But I did the math- I would usually by paddle hair brushed with plastic bristles (similar to the ones posted above). They worked fine, great, yeah. But they range from $10-$16+ depending on brand. Just since this point in my life since my teenage years, I've probably gone through 15 of those brushes- some misplaces, some got too nasty, many had the handles come off from the main piece because they're cheaply glued together.

Mason Pearson will last you a life time. The only thing they ask of you is to occasionally remove the hairs from the brush (as you would anyway- I use a .99 cent comb) and even less regularly clean it by dipping a brush cleaner (that they provide) in warm, soapy water. use that brush to brush the bristles to remove oils that can degrade the natural boar fibers.

So, knowing that, despite the initial sting, it was completely worth it. Other natural boar bristle brushes would make my fine hair static-y. Other women with course or curly hair also swear by Mason Pearson.

There was a thread on The Fashion Spot that converted me/enabled me, and I'm so glad they did!
