I think I'm going to make my first return to Sephora.  But I don't have the receipt anymore, so I'd have to make a special trip (which is over an hour away) to a physical store to make the return. I think I'm going to return the Fresh Sugar All Stars Set I purchased last month when the 20% discount was going on.  The only one's I like in the set are the regular in the brown tube and advanced treatment, in the white tube, and I bought 3 of those $5 fresh gift card holders that have the regular in the brown tube this month.   So it seems dumb to keep a $65 set for basically just a mini of the Advanced treatment. I kind of really hate the Fresh Sugar lip tints.  I keep trying them, hoping I'll like grow to like them, but I don't.  I'm also kind of sad because I feel like I wasted my 20% on this set. Presumably I won't get any grief for making a return w/out receipt, I'll probably have to do an exchange right?  I'm thinking maybe Naked3, and for good measure, I'll pick up the full size Fresh Advanced treatment, and another bottle of my foundation.  Might as well make the trip worth my while, and get VIB status since I'm so close to it anyway.
I think they will still take it back but give you store credit? They will make a note of it though. Personally I would try to gift it??

It sounds like she's already used them though and I doubt she's going to gift them if they're used.  This seems like a perfectly fine time to use Sephora's return policy.  Assuming you don't return all the time, that's what the policy is in place for.

Yeah it's her first time, and I doubt she'll be a crazed repeat-returner-w/no-receipt. =p even if they just give her store credit, she's gonna be picking up a bunch of goodies anyhow :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I returned a lorac unzipped palette after trying it and not liking it. The clerk never gave me a receipt that day so I didnt have one, but I had used my jcpenny card and beauty insider card to buy it, so they looked it up that way.

I really wanna get some stuff I don't need lol, but I'm still waiting to see what my ss got me...I'd hate to give in and get it if they got it for me...

The torture.

Can anyone redirect me to some swatches of the naked 3 eyeshadow swatches?? I want to create some nice rose gold looks with this. I have a stunning copper eyeliner from body shop I picked up during their sale! It's a beautiful rose gold eyeliner. It's called burnished amber ! It's a metallic eye definer pencil. I looked and looked for the perfect rose gold eyeliner and I think this is it!

I go through that like almost every other day! Do I need this or do I just want it. Maybe my mum got the idea that I really want that palette I've been talking about non stop today lol

Sigh. So I got my Sephora pencil eyeliner today, and as soon as I saw they had used a squishy envelope for shipping, I knew the pencil would be broken.

It was. Right in half.

I'm not sure it is worth the whole return system crap, though, since I used my $15 off to get it and it really only came to $1. I guess I can just consider it two short pencils? Still disappointed, though.

If you live near a Sephora I'd exchange it. But yeah, I guess you could just think of it like 2 small pencils =p That sucks :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Heh, well, this gave me a chance to figure out how to quote multiple people at once.  So I learned something new today, haha.

Yeah, most of them have been tested several times.  The one that has been used the most is the Advanced treatment, but it's still practically a full tube.  The others have been tried maybe 3x tops.  The set came with 8 mini's, so that's a lot to go through, especially when you don't like most of it.

I hate returning stuff, usually I just check for damage (or if it's clothes, whether they fit), and then toss the boxes (and the receipts) when all looks good.  If I return this, it definitely won't be a habit, Sephora is really far away.   And I'm kind of a lazy person, lol, making returns/exchanges is work and a hassle, and I'm allergic to both of those things.

I got my Suspense bag today and it was a total bust.

  • Clinique Skincare for Men - Deluxe
  • Ojon Rare Blend Oil - Vial
  • Lancome Teint Idole - Foil
  • Sephora Full Action Mascara - Deluxe
  • Philosophy Hope In A Jar - Foil

Welcome! You got an awesome bag!
Thank you so much! I was pretty happy, I've been meaning to try Black Honey for a while!

Also in other news Sephora is really getting on my nerves. I order the Naked 3 palette the night it went live and it was supposed to be delivered today (what is this supposed 2 days shipping for Rouge? I call bull). Regardless in addition to Sephora's delay in shipping it out we've had some bad cold weather in TX and now my package is trapped in Mesquite (I live in Austin), and it was only updated tonight. Hopefully it comes in tomorrow.

I ordered the Guerlain Meteorites from the website and when they arrived yesterday the outer cardboard box (not the tin) was CRUSHED. In addition the pearls looked heavily jostled and there were broken ones! I hoard the Meteorite pearls and have most of the limited edition ones. I used Teint Beige (02) for a daily luminizer and I have never EVER received a package with broken pearls. That's just not okay. I took it in and exchanged it.

I hear you. I went to the mall recently and for no good reason wandered into Sephora where I promptly found several gold eyeliners and lip stain products that were the kind of thing I mentioned liking. I had to slap my hand and move on. I did end up a little obsessed with the gold and copper MUFE aqua eye pots. I only have one in a plum shade and these metallics were sooooo creamy and rich and even nicer than the one I have. Anyway, I haven't any need for splurging! It's time to give not splurge!!!

I wish my santa would send an elf to say "It's ok to buy another Rx lip tar, and while you're at it- get another powerplant one too!"
lol.
Problems. I have them.

I only live near a JCP Sephora, and I've heard that online regular Sephora things can't be exchanged there. Is this true?

They let me exchange (All I have is SiJCP-and I do most of my shopping online). I believe they also offer store credit- I don't think it matters what product you return.

@renosaurus  should know definitely though. All I can attest to is my experiences!
