Well, nothing a tinted chapstick or lipsurgence doesn't do.
Huh?! I'm in the group that loves it, unfortunately. I almost bought it, but resisted, lol! Anyway, if you like the color but it was too sheer for you, the next time you're in a Sephora, look at Tarte's lipsurgence in Moody. I like to wear that with Tarina Tarantino's Kosmonaut gloss on top. That makes it shiny, but sparkly. I think it gives me a 'Christina Aguilera' type of look.

  Hi ladies,

I am working Over Time at my job b/c it is our busy season but since I am salary, I do not get OT pay, I get gift cards.  The employee g/c program we have includes g/c to Sephora (YaY).  So the planner I am, I am trying to put an order or two together.  But I need some help.

Brushes - do you use them from Sephora and if so which ones do you use?  Right now I only have ELF brushes and they are actually pretty good for the money (the black handled ones not the white handled ones) but I want some fancy dancy ones especially since it's not really coming out of my pocket.

IDK how much in g/c I will have but if I plan now, I will know if I can go spend them right away or wait until I've collected them all.

This could not have come at a better time, I think I will make it to VIB by the end of the year and correct me if I am wrong, I will be VIB until next December or is it a year from when I became VIB?

Please help.
Most of my brushes are from Sephora. In fact, I just got a set of eyeshadow travel brushes from Sephora today. In my personal opinion, the sets are usually good, but not great. I generally get them either because of cost or because it has some special type of brush in it that I don't own. However, if you are willing to pick the 1 or 2 different individual brushes you need most and buy them, the quality is much better. Don't just buy the lower end ones either. Get the professional line or whatever they are calling it now. Sadly, they just continued my favorite line--the ones with the tapered gray/silver handles, shiny silver tops, white-ish bristles, and white writing on them. I bought mine years ago and with proper care they have lasted. Very, very little fallout too. If you see some on sale online that appear to be an amazing deal, you could order them and send them back if they aren't great. However, it would probably be best if you could wait until you had time to go into a physical store. There's really no substitute for feeling all the different powder brushes, then all the different crease brushes, then all the different blush brushes, etc. When you can touch them to your hand and maybe even your face, you'll generally be able to tell if they are for you or not right away. Hope this helps.

To the person thinking abt the blitz bag for $25, I wouldn't do it. Just buy the Fresh mini trio for $28 or a full size single for $22 and get a sample of the living proof styling cream. I think they also have a travel size of it for around $10.

Unfortunately samples of the Living Proof tend to go for like $6-10 on eBay. I use it daily and so far I just have been trying to get by on using samples/trading for it, because a full size is $36. I'm hoping to get it for Christmas so I'm trying not to buy it.. but so tempting!

Thankfully MUT ladies are always there for me with a trade, so I can put my eBay insanity to rest for awhile. lol.

Girrrlllll! Don't you know that posting a pic like this on this thread is kind of like walking around with a dress made of $100 bills in front of a convention for 'How to be a Better Robber?!?!' You might want to make a list of those you've traded with recently since they know your address. Just in case.

I really like Flowerbomb. The name is perfect. It is super floral almost to the exclusion of anything else, to my nose. I already picked up the rollerball when Sephora had the little set where you got 5-6 vials and redeemed a certificate for a rollerball. I wish it had been a cute little mini bottle instead in the Superstars set. But I bought the set anyway as lots of other stuff looked good and I'm probably the last person on the planet to try out Nars Orgasm blush. I might give the rollerball to my mom for Christmas, if she likes it too. It might be too intense for her. I got her the set of minis for mother's day and she chose to redeem her certificate for Gucci Guilty. I'd say it is much stronger than the Gucci. She does have allergy/perfume intensity issues.

They have always been better around the holidays.

I never cash an any points until Nov/Dec

last 500pt perk I got was the amazing Tarte one last year around this time with the full size liner and lipsurgence, mini bronzer, primer and setting powder.

It's pretty. I think I was just expecting something different, maybe? Looking at pictures it seems like a nice difference but in person my husband couldn't tell much difference.

Need VIBTOPIA to stop working so I am not tempted to buy more things! :icon_eek:
Me too. I thought I only had to be strong until the end of Mon. It's all on me because hubby would just spoil me rotten he won't say no at all, it's killing me. Edit: just checked and its not working for me anymore. Thank goodness.

Finally))

I am happy too, because for this discount you always think what you can buy more... no so good

Those brushes were really great! No clue why they discontinued them! One of my favorite brushes is a concealer brush from that line. I use it for lots of things. Great multi tasking brush!

The order that I placed on friday is still coded as "Sent to warehouse". WHAT? Do you think I should call customer service or wait another day?

The order I placed Friday shipped out late yesterday.   The one I placed Sunday is still saying sent to warehouse.

Thinking of returning the Kat Von D Spell Binding Set. While I adore the palette, the mascara is nothing to write home about and the foil-y effect of the lippie isn't my favorite. May return & have the $60 in credit for the next sale!

Sorry is this the eyeshadow palette? I didn't know it came with mascara and lipstick. I really was considering buying this, despite the fact that I just got the Urban Decay mother lode (addict). Haha. Edit: just realized you were probably talking about another set.
