Rogaine anyone?

ok i used to have the thickest hair its down past my waist but then 2 years ago i had my son and now its about like a nickle (in diameter) which is nothing considering i used to make myself 2 braids the size of half dollar coins (in diameter) im mortified!!! i went to a dermatologist and he said i was producing too much testosterine and eventually i would go bald!! yeah just like that (some bed side manners right?) ANYWAY, he suggested i use rogaine but i would have to use it for the rest of my life as long as i want hair! has anyone here used it or know of someone, did they have any side affects? would really appreciate it! thanx!

My boyfriend uses it and honestly I dont see a difference. My brother used it in high school and the dermatologist told him he had never seen it work so well on someone. He doesnt use it anymore, b/c I think he just doesnt care now. My mom has also used it and it didnt work for her (we have haur loss problems in our family). Some people it works for, and some it doesnt.

OMG! That's insane! I've never heard of that happening, but then again, having kids can do wonders on the body! I know they make Rogaine for Women. I'm sorry to hear that happened to you sweetie!

thanx aquilah...all the women on both sides of my family have all their hair so im like wtf, right? but my dad started going bald in his 20's so i guess thats where i got it from. and the sad thing is im going bald and my husband is bald (hes 34) so my poor boys!!!! LOL!!!

did your mom or brother have any side affects from it?
