Recs for 1st Ojan Purchase

Hi,

I just received a Sephora GC from my wonderful husband, and I'd like to try one of the Ojan (?spelling) products. Is there a special favorite that any of you have. My hair is quite dry due to frequent coloring. Any recs would be greatly appreciated.

I love Ojan.... it works great on my dry long hair..... i started out with the Discovery Kit... It comes with Ultra Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner and the Restorative Hair Treatment (which works great... you just leave on for 20 or more minutes)... Hope this can help... good luck....

i would say start with the treatment. that's what i did and i was in love from then on lol i tried there shampoo and cond but wasnt pleased at all but i will be trying there other stuff soon hopefully.

I am one of the few who really did not like the OJON products. It did absolutely nothing for my volumes of thin, dry, wavy, damaged, color treated hair. The smell is horrible to me and made my allergies act up. Even my husband said it hard to sleep next to me after I used the products. I sent my kit back to QVC.

Make sure you smell it first.

I use these, and my hair always feels twice as thick afterwards. Of course, fine hair is my problem, so you may not need to use a thickening regimen. It is however, also very hydrating, IMO. I also use Ojon Hydrating Thickening Spray and Ojon Conditioning Volumizing Foam.

Moisturizing products but sooo stinky!!

The shampoo and conditioner are less stinky than the deep hydrating treatment, though. That treatment is very strongly scented, and not to my liking. Some people do like it, though. Sniff before you buy at Sephora, if you can.

The hair treatment is great. I purchased the Discovery Kit to try before I purchased full size. I've been using the treatment, hydrating conditioner, shampoo, a spray leave in treatment, & a shine spray for a couple of weeks now & my hair feels so good I can't quit playing with it. I saw the anniversary special on QVC and ended up ordering more along with a couple of their styling products . I really like the smell, but many don't. There isn't a Sephora in my town, but we have a similar store 'Ulta' that carries this product so I was able to smell it before I purchased anything.

I liked the Restorative Hair Treatment but didnt really see that fantastic of results, maybe my hair wasnt very damaged? I prefered just dumping a puddle of jojoba oil on my roots and letting it sit for a long time.

However, another factor in me not using it may be that the smell makes my husband just about vomit, and he spends the entire 30 minutes Im using it complaining about it. :rotfl:

Glad my husband is not the only one. I even found that when I washed it out the smell still lingered and it drove my husband crazy when we were trying to sleep. It's actually funny he said it smells like a combination of tobacco and old lady perfume.

And I think the conditioner smells heavenly! Have yet to try the restorative hair treatment tho...now I'm kind of scared to!

i bought the ojon restorative treatment it worked well!! you should try it if you dont like it you can return it, you know how sephora is really good about that!!

I've never tried their products, but I think a starter kit would be the best way to go. Sephora has a decent return policy too, so if you don't like it, you can always send it back.

Ojon is the best hair care line I have ever used. I use the deep conditioner, moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, leave in conditioner,hydrating thickening spray and conditioning volumizing foam. It leave your hair so soft and in incredible condition. If I were you I'd go for the try-me pack as it may not suit you as well. Good luck

I purchased the Ojan Hydrating Styling Cream - it smells a bit like chocolate, not bad. You can use it on wet or dry hair, and it really makes my hair look very healthy. I'm in love!

i really like the hydrating one it works really well for my thick frizzy hair i like the smell of this but it can be a bit strong for some the only thing with the ojon is its expensive and you dont get very much of it

the new ojon tawaka shampoo and conditioner is great. You may want to give it a try. Makes hair super shiney and bouncy.
