So I recently chopped all my hair off and now I'm having trouble styling it on my own. It is now about 3 inches all around, with some layering and bangs. Anyway, it's not short enough to use a gel and I'm not sure what to do. When it was cut the woman styled it with gel, but I didn't like it and I like to go home and play with it to see what works, but it ain't workin! I have been using a curling iron to flip it up to give it some more texture...but does anyone have any ideas?

Anyone with short hair out there that can help me?

Short hair and I never got along, and I agree it is hard to figure out how to style. I bet it looks absolutely cute flipped! I honestly can't think of a particular way to style it... Do you have a pic? That might help...

I have long bangs and the rest is just touchiing my shoulders, and layered.

Appy mouse before any styling. Blow dry/flat iron straight or let it air dry to bring out the curls. Apply serum for shine and friz control once it is dry.

Thanks ladies! I will get a pic...I'm working on it, need batteries for the camera lol

I asked for advice on how to style my recently shortened hair...and now I have some pictures! Any advice on style OR color would be great. I kind of want to dye my hair a deep brown color with some red in it, but it might be too dark since I'm so pale....

Thanks!

First pic is of my hair when it is dry and I've done nothing with it...second pic is when I use a curling iron to flip it up and I've done it really fast (average day).

-you could clip most of your bangs to one side with a cute little clip

-you could use some texturizer and have an all over mess look

-you could blow dry with a small round brush and have it flippy all over ( a little softer look than with the iron ) make it piecey with your fingers and some texturizer

just a couple ideas!!

I'm merging this with the thread you already started... I like it either way! I really like it flipped though

I have short hair above my shoulders. Volume is not a problem for me because I have VERY thick hair. But I shampoo & conditioner not cheap conditioner either, then I towel dry my hair, comb it with a comb not a brush.....brushes on wet hair cause split ends, then I use Fredric Fekkai Straight away a dime in my palm because it is very oily you do not need alot, then I use Biosilk to have smooth silky hair, then I blow dry with a brush styling in the directions I would like my hair to be when Im done, after that I flat iron, then finshing product is Ojan because it is all natural and helps keep fly aways down.

Cute cut! I miss my shorter hair! I like both ways and especially flipped up.

And I think you would look great with the dark brown and red...go for it!

get one of those skinny head bands and keep the bangs out and flip out the back
