Depending on where you live... Pollution and acid rain could damage anything it touches!

Well back when I lived on an island I would walk home in the rain, and all it did was make my hair shrink up.

It makes mine look horrible and full of knots, as to damage it, not really, i'm more concerned about the pollution in my town.

There's a reason why they refer to rain water as gray water. It has a bunch of impurities and organisms that it picks up from the air on its way down to the grown.

I suppose the quality of rainwater depends on where you live? It could have pollutants in it or I suppose it's possible it could be less damaging than municipal water because it doesn't have chlorine and all the chemicals. When my grandmother was young they collected rainwater for various reasons, including bathing. She said rainwater was the best, soap worked better with it... could have been the times though!

Greywater is wastewater from pretty much all the ways we use water (bathing, dishes, laundry, ect.) except toilet water. Not to say that rainwater is always pure and clean, just that is not greywater.

Ha ha Karren. It's been a while since I've lived in Manhattan, but I was talking about Trinidad this time

^At that point it's no longer rainwater, its groundwater and that wouldn't be falling on her hair.

ok guys i guess i understand every point here. Rain water is not good for hair in many ways. no matter if it is considered grey water or not, this will cause knots in my long hair making it difficult to style

so better avoid your hair from getting wet in rain BUT sometimes it is acceptable for the sake of fun.
