Help! I have tried to go "cone free" but truth is, my hair looks like crap! I would ove to get some recommendations on shampoo and conditioner that you all like (needs to be ok for color -treated, slightly dry hair). Just to be totally "high maintenance" :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> here are my requirments:

I need to be able to buy it at a drugstore, or Sally's (i.e. I don't want to pay a small fortune!)

And I am looking for something that does not build up easily on the hair over time.

Any recommendations, ladies?????

aussie is great and cheap i like the moisture shampoo and conditioner and def get the 3 minute miracle deeep conditioner thats stuff is awesome and there whole line smells awesome.. it cost $3.99 and sometimes $2.99 a bottle

some drug store carry it but not the entire line i get mine from grocery stores or walmart/target

yeah aussie is really good.......tresemme.......also creme of nature is really good as well

I am in love with Dove's something-moisturizing shampoo. It's in a dark blue bottle. It makes my hair so soft. Also I use Pantene Ice Shine conditioner. The combo of the two gives me the softest shiniest hair.

I have heard good things about Dove, though I know that Pantene's Ice Shine is loaded with silicones so I will probably try to stay away from that for now.

I know this sounds crazy, but I spend $48 each time I get shampoo/conditioner ($24 per bottle) from Pureology. It is TOTALLY worth it and it lasts at least 6 months. I have thick, wavy, highlighted hair and usually have flyaway. Not anymore!! My thick hair is calm, it straitens SO much easier, it doesn't even look highlighted, looks like natural healthy hair. I have YET to see a split end and it does not build up at ALL!

Seriously, so amazing! And the conditioner does not contain water so it's pretty concentrated! The shampoo is concentrated, but not as much. It contains herbs and natural stuff as well. it's amazing stuff. I get it from my Salon, but I am sure Sally may have it.

Just wanted to share that LOL!

I, too, have used Pureology (in fact, I have both the Hydrating Shampoo and conditioner in my bathroom right now). I like the stuff. The problem is, when I was trying to stay away from silicones, I realized the conditioner had them. But then, even worse, when I read the shampoo label, I saw the shampoo had them too! That leads to way too much buildup of silicones, so I decided to lay off of them for a while.

I don't mind using silicones in my styling products, but I really don't want them in my shampoo, ya know?

Last week i started using Andrew Collinge perfect endings shampoo and conditioner now after trying nearly every S&C possible i have fell in love with this stuff no other shampoo has left my hair feeling so soft and the conditioner is gorgeous

i agree for pantene ice shine. dove is great but i found if you have combo hair, the shampoo will grease your roots (even the specific one for greasy hair, lol).

OK, maybe I will give this one a look, if it is not loaded with silicones!

Is Cream of Nature the name of the company? I am surprised! I thought I knew every brand of drugstore shampoo and conditioner!
