Pomp pony tail

I need some help from you girls!!! I am trying to get some tips or a tutorial on doing a pomp at the crown of your head when your hair is in a ponytail. I have tried pulling parts loose but it never looks right.

i've always been interested, but my hair is curly. and when i straighten it too many fly aways happen and it just looks silly.

I do this all the time and I always get compliments and asked how to do it.....I tease the back of my hair and brush out the top layer........then I gather my hair back into a pony tail and push it up .....but just a bit........then once my pony is secure in the elastic I gently pull random chunks out around the top as I look backwards into my mirror.....then it's pretty much done......if you play with it too much or try to comb it smooth or anything it will start to look like crap......HTH..........

sorry I don't have a video camera or I do a tut...........maybe I'll try see what it looks like with my digital camera.....I've newer used the video feature and I don't know how much time you get anyway!!!
