Please help me with my hair

Hi everyone,

Long time no post! I need your help and your advice. I have no idea what to do with my hair. It's always dead and limp and hangs loosely around my face, it wont straighten, it wont curl, it wont style. My friends think I may be using the wrong shampoo products, but before I go out and drop money, I wanted to ask the advice of the very talented ladies and gentleman of this forum. I'm going to attach a picture of my hair and ask your advice on what to do. It's also very thin, I want to make it nice and thick.

I also cant get those hairs on the top of my head to stay into place and it's really annoying >.< Please help!

And one last question to present to you all, I'm thinking of going with another hair color, I was thinking light auburn. Do you think that will contrast too much with my complexion?

Your hair looks really healthy and I think the colour is beautiful.

But colouring will help give you some volume that your is lacking a bit.

Light auburn would be nice - something like dark strawberry blond as well.

I'm not a stylist but I think your hair would benefit from a cut done by razoring.

Have you ever had bangs?

Don't use any gels or stying creams - too heavy for your hair.

Thank you Dragonfly, but is their any reason that you can think of why it wont take curls? I'm waiting for it to grow out so I can do ponytails and headbands because their isn't much I can do with what I have now.

I've had razoring cuts once by a friend, but I think I'll go to a professional next time.

Your hair appears to have some wave - you'd think it could be curled.

What about seeing a good stylist and have them style your hair curly.

They should explain to you what products will work for you, and how to use them properly.

I have the opposite problem - I want my hair straight!

i really love this style but i bet it would look better in a dark colour, but i do love short hair, but if your hair is like mine it never goes straight so this look would be a bugger to do everyday, so i guess if you razor the edges off it will look great!
