What I wonder is what has become of all her vows that she is now "a different person"--a more caring one, who wants to donate some of her money to society(she mentioned donating money to create halfway homes for female inmates, so they might have some place to improve their chances in society, without sliding too easily back into lives of abject poverty and crime, and into jail again...She mentioned concern for the daughters of these inmates, that they have a place to grow up where they are not so likely to repeat their mother's mistakes...and,poof!,just like that
aris sees her door to freedom and shuts the door of hope on so many other people her money(and briefly feigned good will) could potentially have opened up whole worlds to.
This is why I dislike Paris Hilton with a passion: she is a hypocrite and liar, that,I knew, but to raise the hopes of a few desperate people, just to ignore them again,to drop her "plans" to help them just like last spring's most fleeting trend in wardrobe, is beneath contempt. Why did she even bother pretending she was going to do work for charities, to begin with?I guess I was naive; I truly thought she was at least going to make the attempt to change her profoundly vapid life a little bit.
