Hi,

I think I read a post awhile back that someone recommended to use olive oil to take off makeup...will this clog pores or cause milia?

thanks,

Pam

I use it to clean my face & as a matter of fact you can feel these little oil plugs in your pores pop out of your skin it sounds gross I know. As far as I know it doesnt clog pores & is a great moisturizer as well as cleanser. You can also add a tiny bit of caster oil to it to add a little more cleansing action.

oooh! how weird! now i want to try! i use the dhc deep cleansing oil and was wondering if i should just switch to olive oil and save some money?

It works for me. I would suggest that if the smell of EVOO bothers you you might wanna go with the reg OO it has less of an olivie smell. Oh yeah & it is really cheap because you dont need alot.

Since I began using olive oil(as moisturizer & cleanser)my skin is the clearest--acne free--its been since I was ten.

You should add Avocado oil to your moisturizing/cleanser its helped me out alot & is said to aid in the regeneration of collagen woohoo. Its super moisturizing. I had some lines under my eyes before I started the OCM that have since plumped up & almost disappeared just from putting Avo oil under my eyes before bed.

hmmm...this sounds like something i am definately going to try. you have really nice skin by the way! so would you just add a bit of each oil in your hand to wash, or can you combine the two oils in a bottle? in equal parts?

Thank you :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I pre mix mine in a bottle.

its

50% OO

25% CASTOR OIL

25% AVOCADO OIL

I threw in some lavender oil just because it smells nice.

I basically cup my hand & pour some in there & thats really all you need.

I also make a green tea toner out of 1 tea bag & hot water then let it sit until its cooled.

So far this is the best skin care prod Ive used no side effects what so ever :clap

Then I use the avo oil as a moisturizer.

Hi, two questions for you

l

where do you buy the oils

and

the first mixture is for cleansing?? and then ao just to moisturize??

thanks,

thanks so much...this sounds awesome! i love the idea of using natural things on my face. :icon_love

The castor oil is at drug stores or even at walmart you can buy avo oil online or at your local health food store I think the Vitamin Shoppe has it also. The mixture of oils is to cleanse then I use the avo alone to moisturize. The castor oil helps to clean better while the oo cleans & moisturizes & the avo oil helps to moisturize even more. You may have to play with the amounts I have normal dry skin & very sensitive so this is the formula the works for me. If you are more acne prone you may want to up the castor oil a little.

thanks, what great info, I just started using the DHC cleansing oil and

love it, but your combo sounds just as good. Also when you make the

toner do you use it until gone or make anew one each time??

sorry for all the questions, but I just love this!!

thanks

I should add that I had to get used to using oil as a moisturizer it feels weird when you aren't used to it but Avo oil is one of the most readily absorbed oil you can use ..... so they say.

It makes about a cup I have been on the same cup for about a week & a half now & its still fine. You could make a new batch every 2 weeks or so if you wanted since it really doesnt cost much to make. I just keep smelling it since theres no preservative you never know.

They have great empty bottles at Walmart thats where I got all mine :icon_smil

Olive Oil is brilliant for dry hair too, just add some to the ends and wrap in a warm towel for 20 mins and then wash out.Viola....beautiful soft moisturised hair.

I use OO so much for everything now all I need is a piece of garlic bread:icon_lol: its so cheap compared to other cleansers weither it is oil cleanser or drugstore cleansers & it feels so neat massaging it into you face. I usually have dry skin during the winter & have to stop wearing MU until it clears but havent had that prob this winter at all since I started using OO.

Yup, I love OO as a moisturizer too. I started using it only a few days ago, and I already see a difference...I used to have dry skin. And now, I don't feel my skin being dry at all! For those who don't like the feeling of oil on your face...this is what I do:

I massage the oil all over my face and take a napkin and press it to my face gently...and all the excess oil will be absorbed by the oil. I do this right before going to bed, as I don't want oil all over my pillow :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Hey just wondering where did you get this cool info? and do you rub the castor oil /oo and then rinse your face? how does it work?
