I was wondering if anyone has tried this Rub-Out Dry Cleanser? I guess more or less of a waterless shampoo? I have really oily hair and would almost try anything to fix it. But if someone has already spent the whoping $24 then I'd love to hear reveiws!!

Here is the skinny from the Sephora web site:

Rub-Out Dry Cleanser

What it is:

A dry cleanser that revives, refreshes, and recharges hair and scalp without water.

What it does:

Ojon® Rub-Out™ Dry Cleanser instantly "erases" impurities, toxins, excess oil, and product build-up. It increases hair volume at the root while treating the hair and scalp. Ideal between washings, as a hair pick-me-up, when you're in a rush, or when you overuse a styling product. The Dry Cleanser leaves hair cleansed, light, luminous, and healthy -looking.

What else you need to know:

Fortified with wildcrafted Ojon® oil, an ancient native secret to naturally beautiful hair from Central America's Tawira tribe, known as "the people of beautiful hair.™" Supported by clinical studies to instantly hydrate, strengthen, and restore dry or damaged hair, Rub-Out™ Dry Cleanser is appropriate for all hair types and is eco-friendly.

Due to the unique and rich concentration of Amazonian White Clay and Soap Bark Extract in our breakthrough dry cleansing product Rub Out, it is important to shake the product vigorously prior to use.

Dry shampoo is a spray or powder formula.

Sephora carries two sizes of Ojon at least where I live. I bought the smaller one. I found the product worked good. However,my second time using it, I had trouble with the sprayer. I figured it was clogged but after rinsing it under hot water it still didn't work. I don't know if I had a faulty one but I ended up returning it to Sephora and exchanged it for the Oscar Blandi dry shampoo. The OB is a powder formula which I also like.

I apply the powder along my roots and brush thoroughly. Make sure you don't apply too much since the powder is white and will take longer to brush through. I did the same thing with Ojon spray.

Hope this helped.

Another trick (and a cheap one!) is to use talc powder. I have oily hair too and when my hair was long (now I have a short haircut so it's easier to wash and style), I didn't want to wash and blow dry everyday so I used talc mostly near my forehead and at the temples and maybe at the top of my head.

Though you must be careful with it because if you are a brunette or your hair is dark it might show. I am blonde so I can get away with it, but you should use it sparingly and then comb your hair very well.

Anyway, you can try it and see if it works for you...

i just you talc powder that is scented, i got it from crabtree and evelyn this works better than the dry shampoo cause it has a higher percentage of corn starch in it and it is scented so you dont smell dirty

Really! My hair is oily and by the end of the day its heavy and limp but with this its like i just washed and blew it out. AMAZING!

I have been wanting to try Oscar Blandi for some time now. Like you, Angela, I have very oily hair. I work out at night and have to shower after (I'm a sweater!!), but I have to wash my hair in the morning else it looks oily & awful (even my husband comments).

I will try it now that you were my ginuea pig...thanks!!
