Not washing fine hair

ive read that its not good to wash your hair everyday and im madly in love with that bathina shower cap. my hair is fine and gets greasey easily. but its dry and damaged so i would like to get away with not washing my hair every day. any suggestions?

Using something like Stila's Hair Freshener might help. I believe I've also heard using plain cornstarch or baby powder will help you. You don't use a lot, and it helps to absorb the oils to keep the hair looking fresh and non greasy.

i usually just throw it up in a ponytail/bun. i have fine hair and since i twirl/touch my hair too much, it gets oily FAST.

i dont like having it up. makes my ears stick out! that bathina cap is what inspired this thread! but im thinking about trying the cornstartch if we have any. might as well since im spending the day at mommys and doing nothing but homework

I'm curious to know how the cornstarch worked out. I have a similar problem...my hair is sooo oily. I can't even get away with one day of not washing it..it starts to look like I dumped half a bottle of oil in my hair

I don't know about the baby powder..I have very dark colored hair so it might not work well.

Still looking for a solution.
