Okay, so i know i want a change of style for sure. however i cant decide weather i want to keep it long and just change it up a little or chop it to chin length.

i asked the boyfriend but of course he was no help and just said "whatever you want"

so some background is that i have been growing my hair out for almost a year (i started growing it out last march after my hair was finaly back to its normal color) i have only had it cut two times since than, once in may and once in november. any way i have posted a picture of my hair currently, in its natural state (i just used a little bit of coconut oil to help my waves seperate, and yes that is the boyfriend with me that is of zero help)

i am torn, i feel like shorter hair looks more mature, but the long hair is super easy (well so is the short hair) but i have more styling options with the long hair.

any coments on what you think would look better are extremely welcome.

also in case you wanted to see it this is me when i first started growing my hair long (im the blonde int he front/ on the side with the hand monicile)

check out your boyfriend!!

lol

i prefer it long myself. i think longer makes you look older!!

I like your long hair. Your waves are really pretty, and it looks like the longer hair shows that off better if that makes any sense... I'm horrible at explaining myself :p /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />.

I really like the long hair on you as well. I don't have any suggestions on what to do to change it up a bit though. I like it the way it is!

i think you look gorgeous with the longer hair and i agree you and bf make a great couple!

okay so the concensus is that long hair is a keeper.

and i shall let him know that you all think he is a cutie, he will prob be happy for the compliments

Hello..

I think the longer hair suits you wonderfully. I can completely understand the urge to want to change it up a bit...I have fairly long hair myself (to the small of my back) and it also has a natural curl/wave to it. Since it sounds like you are going to keep it on the longer side, why not add some shorter layers? The more layers you have in any curly/wavy style will enhance the texture and boost up the volume. Best of luck!

i was considering that but i have not a lot of hair, and what i have is thin. plus i allready have layers, the shortest of which is to the top of my ear.though i proboably could get away with some more noticable layers i shall def add that to my list of wants for when i go to get a trim

I agree, you look great with long hair, and you and your bf make a gorgeous couple.

lol i told my boyfriend and he made me give him the link to look at the thread, than he was acting all ego-ish and was like "ohh im sexy" and "im awsome" hhaha

Get your stylist to give you 'uneven' layers....sounds shady, i know. But i'm in the hair industry, i'm a product/trend educator and uneven layers work wonders for hair like yours and mine! It basically means instead of the layers being the same length all the way around, she/he will point cut to make them jagged....not notically jagged but it gives amazing texture

I like you with the longer hair, the wave is really nice too! Even though everyone else has said it, your boyfriend is gorgeous too haha

How do you feel about coloring your hair? Or doe that defeat the point of growing it out?

I'm so with you on this topic. I've been growing my hair out for years and I'm antsy. I want to shop it off but I'm afraid!
