Clairol has just launched Perfect 10, a new line of at-home hair coloring. "Big deal," you might be thinking. "It's all the same stuff, more or less." Oh, but it's not!

Unlike its predecessors, Perfect 10 dyes hair quickly—so quickly, in fact, that the color is done in just 10 minutes. And while you might imagine this process would be harsh on hair, it's actually much less damaging than other dyes. Its pH is lower, so it strips less of the hair's lipid coating; additionally, the gentler formula makes hair less likely to break. (Check out some explanatory photos here.)

Priced at $13.99, it's available in 14 shades. In addition, it has a cool application brush that looks like it could be fun to use. Check out the gallery of available colors here, and let me know if any of you try it. If it's actually able to deliver faster, rich color without damaging hair, this might be something huge.

Took some digging, but I found that it covers grey hair.

I'd like to try it but unfortunately is only avilable in the US.

Maybe this time next year I'll give it a go.

Hmm. I like something that doesn't take so long. Might have to give it a try some time.

Sounds like a great idea. I used to dye my hair at home. For this price and small amount of time it takes, I should!!

Great post Aprill

ooooooooo i gotta tell my mom about it.

or use it myself since i have a nice amount of greys now (makes me sad since im only 23).

I have been coloring my hair red for years. As you know reds fade quickly so I'm putting color on my hair about every month and a half or so. I saw this color advertised the other day and I'm going to try it.. anything that is less damaging on my hair sounds great to me.

i wish they had more of a color range. since it does a good job on gray i might have given it a shot!

wow this would be usefull! i just died my naturally black hair yesterday. well, i bleached the lower third of it, and i left it on TWO HOURS and it still only came out a dingy orange-yellow color... i wanted it to be blonde with a sharp contrast!

this looks like it might work, will have to try it next week (need to give my hair a rest before diving in on it again LOL)
