I have checked drugstores, Walmart and noticed TRESemme, Marc Anthony, Charles Worthington. Looking for one to use with my flat iron. Has anyone tried these brands? Any other rec's. Unfortunately we do not have Ulta, Sally Beauty in Canada.

I just started using got2b crazy sleek hot smooth iron & blow dry lotion.

The bottle says it is for heat-activated straightening. Orange base, pink pump.

I am canadian also. It is frustrating that there is no Sally's here.

Thank you everyone for your recommendations.

I wrote all of them down and plan on looking this weekend.

mircale mist. it doesnt leave fine hair greasey and it does an amazing job of protecting AND helps hold style slightly in my refuseing to curl hair.

I'm going to give you the best tip anyone could ever get if they use a straighting iron. I have had one for 2 years and I wish I would have discovered along time ago. The VERY BEST think you could buy is "BIOSILK SILK THERPY". If I could not get this stuff I would quit using my iron. All you do is , after you blow dry your hiar, you put about a dime size amount of this thru your hiar. Not only does it "protect" you hair, but it give it a silky feeling and the humidy won't make it fuzz up. It last forever. It seems expensive when you by it, but you use such a small amount that it is penny's a day. Please try it if you use a straightner, it is the best bargain you will ever find for your hair. (It will not make your hair oily). It is something that once your try it you will never be withou it.

I have heard that blowdrying is damaging just like a flat iron or curling iron? Also does it work with the curling iron as well? Thanks for the great tip. Also where can you buy this at?

I have used it before I blow dry, but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference. I buy it on Ebay, (to get a better deal),but you can buy it a the Wal-mart hair salons. It cost about 20.00 at Wal-mar, but it will last for about a year. I use it every other day, every time I straight iron. Yes you can use it with a curling iron also. It protects your hair from the heat. But what I like most about it is it make your hair feel so silky, and it keeps the humidity from fuzzing it up. The "straight" will last longer.

Marc Anthony has awesome hair care products, so his line might be a good bet. I have one by Jilbere, and it works pretty well too.

I wrote down all the rec's and it was a hard decision...

I ended up buying Alberto Miracle Mist. I like it, not sticky. I kept the list of rec's and plan on trying a few other new ones to compare when I am finished the Alberto. Thanks!
