Hi everyone, I have not been on here in a while since I have been so busy with school. But, I desperately need a new hairstlyle. I have let my hair grow long but it's always in the way so I just put it in a ponytail. Well, I am getting sick of ponytails! I have very thin, straight hair that will not hold styles too well, I am not sure if it's because I am not doing something right or what. Is there a website that I can put a pic of my face and see what I look like with different styles? Or can I put my pic on here and people can recommend things to me? I am also needing some help in the make up department so I am going to post a similiar question on makeup board. I am kinda going for a new look! Thanks girls.....

Definitely feel free to add a pic here and let us recommend styles for you! Have you ever tried BigSexyHair by Sexy Hair Concepts? Although I'm the last person who needs body & volume, Janelle as recommended it numerous times and says it works well.

Here is a pic, my hair is about 3 inches longer than what is on this pic...Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am thinking of maybe a wavy perm.

I did not realize how small the pic would look, my camera is broken so you might not be able to help me right now. Thanks anyways....(off to think about what to do with this mophead!)

i just wanted to suggest long layers, lightens your hair , but gives u volume @ the same time .. (dunno if that makes sense) hehe

Ok girls...here is a better pic..hubby just took it...I was almost embarrsed to put it up here, I look awful without makeup!

What about shortening it to shoulder length bob, with subtle layers for volume?

I love the side part and side swept bangs.

I agree. Layers would give you volume and I think a bob would be a really cute change.

Gonna have to agree with the layers idea...You should also consider some highlights and lowlights, they add dimension (and therefore depth, and therefore, make hair look thicker) to you hair.

Good luck

What does a bob cut look like? What is the difference between layers and blunt layers? I definately agree on the highlights. Does anyone have any color suggestions? I like blonde and red so I have been trying to decide on both.

I agree with the other posters who recommend a shoulder length bob with layers. My hair style is a short variation of a bob, with some layers and bangs. I just posted a thread here with pics asking for hairstyling help with my 'rut'.

If you really want to make a big change, but aren't the type to just 'go for it', try out makeoversolutions.com. You can try out cuts, colors, etc on a picture of yourself that you upload. To get the full use of the site, you have to pay a little bit, but I always do that when I'm looking to make a change...it's saved me from some huge mistakes and also convinced me to try things I normally wouldn't like coloring my hair reddish brown, which I think was one of the best decisions I made as far as my appearance goes. I never would have had the guts to try any red, and now I'm considering going for a little more red next time around. It's really cool...check it out!

I will definately look into that website. Thanks for the advice. I definately think that red hair is working for you!!!

How about

You can do that my just 'emailing a friend', make that friend you, and you'll get the link in your email that you can copy here. There might be an easier way, but I couldn't figure it out.
