I currently have wavy hair that goes about an inch or two past my shoulders in the front, and is a bit longer in the back. I had bangs when I had a really short haircut (think Mandy Moore's short cut) and so I've always been playing catch up as I grow it out, but I think the back grows faster because I had it evened out once the bangs got to shoulder length, and the back is way ahead again =P
anyway, I plan on growing it out long, and then trying a long style, and if I don't like it, go with a medium one, and if I still don't like it go short (not very short this time, just a little past chin length at the shortest).
I'm just concerned about being able to pull off both curly/wavy and straight. My hair is wavy with a few curls here and there naturally. I have a straightener but wouldn't want to use it except for special occasions, but I do want a cut that will look good both ways.
Many of the styles are similar just on different people =P
Here are the long styles:

this next one isnt my alltime fave but its kinda how i imagined this cut wavy:

My concerns are:
1. the cut will work with natural wavy hair (not particularly thick or thin..)
2. the cut will work straightened or even curled w/ rollers or curling iron
3. can I make bangs work for me? I want them! Not too short, and I don't want to have to heat style every day, but I figure I can clip them on wavy days if they don't work wavy.
your advice/thoughts? thanks
